IT IS A BEAUTIFUL, VINTAGE SPORT TOURING BIKE THAT I RIDE EVERYWHERE. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO RIDE THIS THING TO CALIFORNIA. I'VE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A BMW. I GUESS NOW IS THE TIME TO MOVE ON BEFORE I GET TOO OLD. THE BIKE HAS BEEN ADULT CARED FOR AND NEVER ABUSED. IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND ALWAYS GARAGED. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. THERE ARE A FEW COSMETIC FLAWS AS NOTED BELOW. THE BIKE HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND THE TITLE IS CLEAR. IT IS A FOUR CYLINDER 1200 CC MOTOR WHICH IS CARBURETED. THERE ARE NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP. This motorcycle remains 99% stock with the only non-stock items being the grips, lugagge rack, the choke knob, and the trip odometer reset button. Other than that, its pretty much how it came from the factory. I installed a new battery this season, tires have maybe 4000 miles on them. The swingarm bushings have been replaced and the clutch slave cylinder was rebuilt all within the last two seasons which would have been about 2000 miles ago; didn't get out on it much last season. Brakes are very good and everything works, even the clock. This is a daily driver. The paint is overall in good shape with the exception of the scratch on the fairing on the right side and the two cracks on the left side. The seat has a small split, and there are some paint chips on the passenger grab bars; all of this is in the photos. For 24 years old and not being confined to a museum, its in better than average condition and is certainly ready to provide a full season of riding without having to do anything at all. If you are familiar with the FJ's, you'll know that these motorcycles are very string and very capable of setting a decent pace. When she hits 6,000 rpm, in 2nd or 3rd you had better be pointed in the direction you want to go. I did add a Renntech luggage rack and will include the bag that I bought with it. I also have a Clymer service manual and an older Corbin touring saddle and backrest to go with it. I don't provide a warrranty with the motorcycle so be smart and realistic. Its 23 years old and personally, I would leave for Florida on it tomorrow so I have a lot of confidence in its condition and its durability. I just can't guarantee it.

This has Vance and Hines full 4-1 exhaust that is jetting correct for the bike. Has an air shifter on it that I have never tried to use, previous owner took it to the track couple times but never been abused. Bike has couple flaws, left mirror is broken, left lower fairing has notorious exhaust melting that caused it to have one less mount holding it on. Left rear tail has a small crack. Front fender has a broken mount on the left side. Right side of gas tank has a very small ding, hardly noticeable. Brakes and tires are in great shape, chain is older and wouldn't hurt replacing.
