The bike is triple matching vin (Frame, Title, and Engine) 1964 /2. The R50 is well known as one of the smoothest and most reliable vintage motorcycles. Purchased from a long time East Coast collector who has owned the bike since new in 1964. This bike has only had two owners, the original owner and myself. I purchased it several years ago out of a probate sale in Connecticut. The bike arrived completely restored but had not been ridden in about 15yrs. Following delivery to San Francisco was sent in for maintenance from a shop that specializes in /2. Starts easily usually with one kick even with cold starts. Once started will quickly idle smoothly. Runs wonderfully silent. Its an incredible elegant machine. The brake shoes (front and back) serviced. Re-torqued all nuts and bolts on the bike. The wiring and lights are all functional. The valves have been gapped to spec. Ignition and timing have been service. New spark plugs. Cleaned/Re-built both carburetors with new gaskets. Serviced horn. New fuel lines Oil was changed. (Engine, transmission, driveshaft, and final drive). All the cables are new. There is zero oxidation or rust on the bike. The rims are the much sought after aluminum. They are stunningly shinny. There are beautifully bits or chrome around the bike including the triple-tree for the forks. The black power-coated paint on the fenders and gas tank is in fantastic condition and pin-striping will make any collector smile. All the locks and original keys work perfectly. The tires are Avon and have about 500 miles on them. The tires are much smoother to ride around turns verses the period 'Flat-walled' tires that come on Vintage bikes. The Avon’s seem to make the bike float around turns. This is the Euro model and comes with the Earles Forks front end instead of the US standard telescoping forks. Looks so much cooler and more collectable. Of course comes with the original Euro bars with headlight mirrors.. Thank You and God Bless America

This bike is pretty original with accessories that every BMW enthusiast will appreciate like engine crash bars, Denfeld solo seat complemented with the Pagusa in the back (stock factory setup). Bike comes with 2 ignition keys, original owners manual and Shop Manual. "The BMW R 69 S VIN 658506 was manufactured on February 10th, 1964 and delivered on February 14th, 1964 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." The BMW R69S, produced from 1960 to 1969, was BMW’s sport bike of its day. With 42 horsepower, it was by far the most powerful bike BMW made at the time. You had to pay to play ($1,564 in 1966), but that extra money bought you one of the most prestigious motorcycles available in the day. This is one of my favorite motorcycles of the 1960’s. But I’ll leave the explanation of why that is to Cycle World, who put it best in a 1962 review: "Whatever the BMW’s merits in a contest of speed, it is still the smoothest, best finished, quietest and cleanest motorcycle it has ever been our pleasure to ride. To be honest, we think that anyone who would worry much over its performance-potential is a bit of a booby. The R69S is fast enough to handle any encounter, and it has attributes that are, in touring, infinitely more valuable than mere speed. All things considered, if we were planning a two-wheel style vacation/tour, the BMW would have to be our choice of mount." Up for sale 2014 BMW R1200GS Dual-Purpose motorcycle comes with 1.2L liquid cooled engine and 6 speed manual gearbox. Bike comes with cruise control, Dynamic ESA system, tire pressure monitor system, good treat on both tires, some Touratech aftermarket parts on the bike, as well as LED fog light, also BMW panniers with extension option inside of them. Original MSRP was $16,999 plus extras.This bike was purchased from an insurance company, therefore carries salvage title. Bike has following damages but not limited to: misc. dents and scratches,right fork lower has scratched area by reflector,but fork still functions well,just cosmetical imperfection, front fender has some damage,upper fender guard some scratches(See pics) entire engine guard Touratech has some scratches,dents and bends(needs replacing) exhaust pipe header has two dents one on each side(see pics) right side radiator has fins damage,but still holds the liquid(need to be looked at) both side panniers have some minor dings and a few scratches, saddle bags still work ok, and all in good working order.Left side handgrip guard has some scuffs and windshield has one scratch. Bike confirmed to start and engine run, however the exhaust pipe header needs to be replaced because its dented and it gives restriction to the exhaust fumes to go out to exhaust muffler(see pics).This will be great fall time project for someone who knows how to work on bikes, and with some mechanical experience can change or fix those mentioned above parts on the bike. There is some take off or used parts on Ebay to fix this bike, some of them even same color pattern for a fraction of the cost. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed by the previous owner in 03/1993 and only 500 miles ago. See the last pic for extensive maintenance record. "The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1812208 was manufactured on December 15th, 1966 and delivered on December 16th, 1966 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1967 hence it was titled as 1967 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have had in my collection. It is all original bike w/o any mods. This bike has been stored in various conditions in its life and it shows. It is quite clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor has had a recent top end disassembled, inspected, one helicoil professionally installed at the machine shop for the right side spark plug. New rings were installed, new top end gaskets and seals, torqued back to factory specs. Valves and timing was set, carbs re-adjusted. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended. I disassembled the horn, cleaned but did not get it to work, I will try again but no promises. Bike may need new rear tire as I have noticed some weather cracking, front tire is like new. Starts easily as the cold start video shows, runs and rides excellent! "The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention." Offered for sale is a 1982 BMW R65LS with an interesting sotory. This machine was purchased new in NJ in 1982, and the first owner rode it until 1990, when it was parked. It then sat for the next 25 years. It was purchased by a BMW collector in MD a few years later, and he had it in his collection until a few years ago when I found it. I'm now looking at purchasing an R100CS, and as always I am bike rich and cash poor, so I need to adjust my own small collection to make room, The R65LS has always had a cult following, and for good reason - they are a blast to ride! You can flick them around like you just can't do with a larger BMW. Owners of the early R80G/S models will know just what I'm talking about. In the last 5 years the prices on these bikes have more than doubled, but here is you chance to get a nice bike at a decent price. This is a matching engine & frame serial number bike, with clear matching number title. The machine was drained of all fluids and the battery ages ago, and has been sitting, and has not been run in that time. Over the years from sitting the rings are stuck, so the new owner will have to replace them along with the other chores needed to get this bike back on the road. Please ask all questions before bidding. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end, and pickup/shipment is expected within 30 days of auction end. Overseas sales are fine, but I cannot help with shipping estimates. Please have your funds lined up before you bid.
