Cutting-edge technology. The R 1200 R is ahead of its time in terms of technology, too. A total of 125 hp provides plenty of power in the new R 1200 R. Together with the riding modes that can be accessed at the press of a button, the optionally available traction control (DTC) puts this power effectively to the asphalt. 2015 BMW S 1000 R, 2015 BMW S 1000 R Conquer the roads - on the BMW S 1000 R. A roadster, reduced to the essentials: maximum performance. 160 bhp, 83 lb/ft torque and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.85 pounds per bhp - and the competition disappears in the rear mirror. Linear power: the engine. The high-performance 4-cylinder in-line engine derives from the RR but has now been further optimized. The result: extremely linear torque delivery for constant forward drive across the entire engine rev range. The engine of the S 1000 R has an output of 160 bhp/118 kW at 11,000 rpm, while a maximum of 83 lb/ft torque at 9,250 rpm puts a smile on the rider's face at every twist of the throttle. Ready for attack: the design. The lines of the S 1000 R are striking at first sight, too: aggressive tail-up/nose-down design, distinctive split face and the characteristic gills. The "R" shows much less of its sharp-edged, muscular skin. Some people call it naked - we just call it focused on the essentials. Versatile: the riding modes. The S 1000 R can be reined in and unleashed at the press of a button as standard. The "Rain" mode provides a gentle throttle response, with ABS and ASC adapted to wet road surfaces. Meanwhile "Road" optimizes throttle response, ABS and ASC for dry asphalt. The Pro modes are available as an optional extra for those chasing the threshold range: "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro" get the "R" into shape for the limits. Full control: Race ABS and ASC as standard. Power is nothing without control. The S 1000 R is fitted with Race ABS and ASC (automatic stability control) as standard. This duo ensures excellent acceleration and deceleration figures at threshold level. They can be activated and deactivated during travel, making for uninterrupted riding fun. No compromises: the individualization options. The "Standard" package adds Ride Modes Pro (Rain, Road + Dynamic, Dynamic Pro), gear shift assist, DTC (dynamic traction control) and cruise control. The "Premium" package includes all equipment in the "Standard" package plus DDC (dynamic damping control semi-active suspension), heated grips and engine spoiler. There will also be an extensive range of HP parts for the S 1000 R aimed at ambitious riders.

Up for sale is a beautiful 1977 BMW Vintage Cafe racer. This motorcycle was originally put together by a guy out west and no kidding did a GREAT job. This thing is very clean. Its quick and nimble stop to start and a favorite to ride of mine. No joke, I get compliments about this thing every time I take it out which is why I delayed so long to sell it. Powder coat paint job still looks almost new. The clip on bars are perfect and the rear hub is in good shape that hides the battery. When I found it however, it looked like it had been sitting for a very long time and in need of some serious tlc. Some of the last photos are before I gave it shiny new heat wrap and a good polish on the bike. Here are some of the things I did, things that make this bike a great contender, a rare find and also what I know about the bike. -First, I'm not sure if the engine was completely overhauled or those are all original miles but mileage is set at only (3024). -The rear end is a short wheelbase (which I'm positive was a modification given the year) and gives it really great stability around turns, slow speeds as well as high speeds rather than the long wheelbase swingarm. -The transmission is new-ish. It originally came with a 1972 4-speed kickstart that crapped out and I replaced it with another exact tranny of the same year. (Which, I believe is the last years for the kickstart.) (It of course, has an electronic ignition but I have started it with the kickstart and it makes a great conversation piece and honestly just looks cool.) I was told it was basically brand new but take that news for what it's worth like I did but it works great. -I replaced the old electronic ignition with a brand new unit and it has about 50 miles on it. -It has high-performance Mikuni carbs with K&N filters have both just been overhauled (not rebuilt) in the past 10 miles. -Brand new, fresh titanium heat wrap in the last 10 miles. -Brand new battery with about 10 miles on it. -Engine oil, Transmission/gearbox oil (yes, its separate) and rear end fluid have all been changed in the past 40 miles. -Most of the rubber covers (including transmission to rear end have been changed) -Brand new comfy grips -Clear title The price is somewhat negotiable because it has a small issue with the running light but it is nothing mechanical or has anything to do with the performance or durability of the bike so please don't waste either of our time with low ball offers. I just haven't taken the time to fix it. Here are some items that can come with the bike that are negotiable. -Maintenance Manual (This is a vintage bike, I highly recommend you take it) -Box of assorted brand new rubber parts as well as all assorted bolts, pieces and springs to install a center stand. -Chrome Center stand (used) -Chrome engine guards (used) -Used gearbox/tranny with all the parts included.
