For sale is a fine example of a 60's 70's era chopper. This bike was built 5 years ago. The engine was rebuilt. Sludge trap was cleaned, new bearings on crank and rods. new .40 over pistons. New valves and guides. New oil pump. Original carbs were rebuilt. Early Harley front end, triple clamps and wheel. Boyer Branson updated ignition. All in all a very nice dependable bike. I built this bike for my self with many fun miles ridden. I have a clear title in hand. the bike is titled as a 1961 Triumph. Any form of payment than postal m-o or cash must clear first. For more info please contact me directly. 443-528-7648 Thanks, Bill

We hear about “barn finds” a lot lately, as original, unrestored vintage vehicles are now more highly valued than restored examples, especially when its originality is fully confirmed and documented. Whether a classic Ferrari, a vintage pickup truck, or an old motorcycle, when one of these sees the light of day after its long slumber, enthusiasts and collectors gush with excitement. But there are fewer and fewer left every day…most have been found and snapped up. This 628 original miles 1966 Triumph T120 Bonneville might be the ultimate classic bike barn find. First of all, it’s one of the most iconic motorcycles ever built, and it represents the zenith of British motorcycle domination worldwide. This one has all the hallmarks of what you’d wish for: One owner from new (I purchased from the original owner’s son, so still in original family). I’m not counting my brief ownership, obviously. Registered only once, in 1967 (it was sold as a 1967 model and registered as such but it’s obviously a 1966 model, confirmed by its engine number which puts it squarely in the middle of 1966 production). There is but one single registration sticker on its original black California plate, from 1967. This Bonnie was ridden only 628 miles after leaving the dealership, then parked and covered. It was virtually a new motorcycle, and today, a time capsule. It deviates from 100% original in only two aspects. The original owner purchased a custom “button-tuck” seat, which was all the rage back in ’67, and a set of slighter higher Flanders handlebars, both installed by the dealer from new and genuine period accessories. I purchased and installed a replacement British-made gray-top seat, correct for the year, as I assume the machine will be displayed and to my eye, it’s more attractive than the ’67 custom item. However, that button-tuck seat is included as well in case the buyer would like to refit it. A photo of it as-found is included here. Nothing else on the bike has been touched, wrenched on, dismantled, etc. The carbs have never been apart; the original safety wiring of the Amal Monobloc float bowl chamber covers from the factory is still there. Every cable, tubing, nut, bolt and washer is as it came from the factory. Even the original tool kit is in its original gray plastic tool tray. Oh, one correction. The original Dunlop tires from Coventry are still on the bike—in almost-new condition, not even showing any cracking—but we replaced the original tubes as the 49-year old ones didn’t hold air. Go figure. In the interest of being able to easily roll the bike, it was decided to carefully remove the tires, replace the tubes, and just as carefully remount the tires. Of course we retained the old, original tubes for you! We have made no attempt to start the machine.  It does kick through and there is good compression but it’s virtually a new machine and if you wished to awaken it, a full service would no doubt recommision it easily. Other than this, the motorcycle has been sympathetically cleaned and detailed. It came up absolutely stunning. It’s not showroom new of course, as upon very close inspection you can see the tiny dots in the chrome plating that occur over time.  The front stainless steel fender has a couple of tiny dings, which can be professionally removed if you wish. The original paint gleams and polished up beautifully, with very few and miniscule flaws. It’s truly a museum piece and possibly the very best, lowest mileage, original 1966 Triumph Bonneville available anywhere. It will be sold with the original small California pink slip from 1983 when the son transferred his dad’s bike into his name, but never rode it. A Bill of Sale will be provided as well. It’s on “Title Only” so no back fees are due. On the title, the license plate number does not match the one on the bike but this is due to common practice when the dealer, as a DMV agent, assigned a sequentional number to the title upon its sale, and the new owner picked up his plate at the local DMV, whichever plate was next in the stack. Of course the engine and frame numbers match the machine. No, this Triumph did not belong to Steve McQueen, Bud Ekins or the Pope. It’s a genuine, incredibly low mileage, one-family owned, stunningly original piece of two-wheeled history. The crowning gem to any classic motorcycle collection. On May 16, at the Hanford Classic Motorcycle Show, this Triumph Bonneville won the Best Original Motorcycle class with a judged near-perfect score of 99.75 points. The quarter point it was docked was for some 49-year old dirt under the rear fender. Now enjoy scrolling through the plethora of quality photos I’ve provided for you, and feel free to ask me any questions. This piece of motorcycling history is unrepeatable, so bid freely and make it yours.

Robert Vander Zyl (386) 257-2269 118 E Fairview Ave Daytona Beach Florida 32114 ? ? ? ? 06 Triumph America Vehicle Information Year: 2006 Make: Triumph Model: America Condition: Used ? ? ? ? 1 of 7 ? View Large Images ? ? Description With its wide bars, forward-set pegs and relaxed, parallel twin power the America mixes classic British engineering with style from the highways of the USA. Based around the iconic Bonneville the America builds on a fantastic package. The basic architecture of the Americas 790 cc, twin-cylinder engine is as the Bonnie but a 270 degree firing interval rather than 360 degrees gives a loping exhaust note and mellow power delivery thats big on easy-going drive and heavy with character. Spinning a fat, 170/80-section rear tire (crowning a well-spoked 15-inch rim) through a five-speed gearbox the engine fires its heartbeat out through a pair of deep-chrome slash-cut mufflers. Heavy duty, wide-set telescopic forks add substance and a solid look to the Americas raked front end, as does the 18-inch front wheel, shod with its 110/80 tire. Disc brakes matched to twin-piston calipers take care of the stopping duties. The Americas a great place to embark upon a motorcycling career, but as a true cruising motorcycle its also built to cover ground. Its relaxed riding position, with forward set highway pegs, wide raked-back handlebars and low 28-inch seat height aids rider comfort and control, also makes the America extremely manageable in all situations especially for riders with limited experience. Even those with many miles under their belts, however will be impressed with the chassis surefooted ability and confidence-inspiring handling. The Americas also been made to be admired and from its slab-style top clamp to chromed shock absorbers its the very essence of cruiser chic but with something a little different; a sense of style and heritage very much its own. This bike simply isnt like the clone-like mass of everyday cruisers. Centrally mounted above the teardrop-shaped 4.4-gallon fuel tank is a deep-chromed instrument console matching classic style Triumph tank badges. A white-faced, chrome-bezelled speedometer sits rakishly above the single headlight and with a nod to the past the passenger footrest hangers echo the lines of the trademark toolboxes of pre-war Triumphs. Two-tone paintwork, with hand-applied coach lines tops the America with a choice of Graphite with Silver infill and Mulberry Red with Graphite infill. For those preferring simplicity, a stylish single-tone Jet Black option is also available. Cruising is all about the essence of freedom and individuality and the America provides both. Its also ready to further personalize, from the simple addition of luggage and screens to extra chrome work. There are also entire custom-painted body kits to mark out a personal identity. The need to explore lies deep within the human soul, as more and more people are recognizing today. The open road beckons, waiting to be ridden and the America is a relaxed and enjoyable passport to two-wheeled freedom. ?Credit Application ?Directions to Dealer ?Contact Us Options and Standard Features Basic Information Type: Cruiser Mileage: 20089 Title: Clear Color: Jet Black Condition: Used VIN: SMT905JN46J255754 Stock Number: 255754 Model: America Make: Triumph Year: 2006 Engine Bore (in): 3.39 Bore (mm): 86 Carburetion Type: Carburetor Carburetor Compression Ratio: 9.2:1 Cooling System: Air Cylinders: 2 Engine Disp. to Weight (cc): 1.59 Engine Size (cc): 0 Engine Size (ci): 48.2 Engine Stroke: 4-Stroke Engine Type: Parallel Twin Fuel Capacity (gal): 4.4 Fuel Requirements: Regular Fuel Type: Gas Horsepower (kW): 45.5 Horsepower RPM: 7400 Number Of Carburetors: 2 Starter: Electric Stroke (in): 2.68 Stroke (mm): 68 Torque (Ft Lbs): 44 Torque (Nm): 60 Torque RPM: 3500 Valve Configuration: DOHC Valves: 8 Valves Per Cylinder: 4 Drivetrain Number Of Speeds: 5 Primary Drive (Rear Wheel): Chain Transmission: Manual Primary Drive (Engine / Transmission): Gear Chassis & Suspension Frame: Steel Front Suspension Size (in): 1.6 Front Suspension Size (mm): 41 Front Suspension Type: Telescopic Fork Number Rear Shock Absorbers: 2 Rear Adjustable Shock / Spring Pre-Load Rear Suspension Material: Steel Rear Suspension Type: Twin Sided Swing Arm Brakes Front Brake: Disc Front Brake Diameter (in): 12.2 Front Brake Diameter (mm): 310 Rear Brake: Disc Rear Brake Diameter (in): 11.2 Rear Brake Diameter (mm): 285 Safety Headlight Rearview Mirrors Comfort Trip Odometer Specifications Dry Weight (kg): 226 Dry Weight (lbs): 497 Front Tire (Full Spec): 110/90 R18 Front Tire (Inches): 18 Front Tire Aspect Ratio: 90 Front Tire Width: 110 Front Wheel Width (in): 2.5 Fuel Capacity (liters): 16 Height (inches): 46 Height (mm): 1170 Length (inches): 95 Length (mm): 2420 Rear Tire (Full Spec): 170/80 R15 Rear Tire (Inches): 15 Rear Tire Aspect Ratio: 80 Rear Tire Width: 170 Rear Wheel Width (in): 3.5 Seat Height (inches): 28 Wheelbase (in): 65.2 Wheelbase (mm): 1655 Wheels Composition: Steel Width (inches): 37 Width (mm): 960 Speedometer Other Information Detachable Passenger Seat Lockable Storage Side Cover ? I am listing a highly modified "John Reed/Custom Chrome V-bike". These bikes were sold in a kit out of custom chrome in 2005 and cost $20000 just for the kit, which did not include assembly paint or any of the modifications that have been done. These are extremely rare motorcycles and less than a 100 of the promised 500 were actually manufactured and there are less than 5 on the westcoast. I have seen 3 of these bikes in stock form for sale between $18,000 to $25,000. Beyond this being an amazing bike to start, it has been modified with top of the line ohlins forks, polished paul smart ducati gt1000 triple trees and fairing, lightweight aluminum alloy wheels, rearsets from a ducati, dual rear exit exhaust, high lift cams, port and polished stage 4 heads, 45mm mikuni flatslide, high compression pistons, brembo brakes brembo hand controls and master cylinders, new 485 cold cranking amp battery to turn of monster 110", compression releases, upgraded transmission internals and gearing, custom shift linkages for rear sets, custom seat, custom tank, custom tail section. This bike would cost you more than double than my asking price to build. Not only is this bike insanely fast and pretty much built for speed, it handles really really well due to the santee featherbed frame that you cannot buy and was only produced for this kit. Electronic ignition system, the list goes on im sure im forgetting stuff. Below are some links giving to give some information in specific about V-bikes, rarity, value and craze about them. These bikes also hold a semi streamline 2000cc and under top speed record at the bonneville salt flats.
