2012 Ducati Monster 696, For sale is a flat black Ducati Monster 696 with ABS. I have the title in hand. I am selling it because I need a faired motorcycle to use for cross country trips and store to luggage on, and the Monster is more suited for cruising town to town as it is a naked bike. It is an Italian air/oil-cooled, L-twin (4 valves), 6 speed motorcycle. Ducati states it produces around 80HP at the final drive and 69 newton-meters of torque. I have maintained the motorcycle since ownership in October of 2014 with oil changes, chain adjustments, lubrication, brake fluid checks, belt, and valve clearance checks. I have replaced the rear tire with a Continental ContiMotion (160-60/17) tire which has about 2k miles on it currently with excellent tread left. From the factory it comes with ABS which works wonderfully when avoiding Florida drivers as well as a slipper clutch which allows for aggressive and fluid downshifting. Modifications of the motorcycle include: adjustable hand levers, tail tidy, LED brake light, slip on MIVV Carbon GP exhaust, and a 14 tooth front sprocket. Serious inquiries ONLY please. If you are shopping for one, you'll see what I mean. Priced for very quick sale, as I need to free up some cash. DetailsWhite 2014 696 with ABS and 778 miles. Never been dropped. Near new condition. First dealer service already completed. 80 HP of torquey goodness propelling a 359 pound work of art (ok, 410lb. wet weight, but still a super light package). Bike is stock, with exception of RAM Mount X-Grip for smartphone, as well as Lightning Connector charger for iPhone 5. Both accessories were dealer installed to allow for charging of iPhone, and using it as a GPS. Running the NumbersAt $9,295 MSRP + dealer fees + accessories + first service at dealer, there is nearly $10,000 invested in this nearly new bike. Yours for $7,495.Do you really want to drop $6K or $7K for a 2009 - 2013 model year that is out of warranty, with unknown problems/repairs/expenses? Why not spend just a few more dollars, and get a nearly new 2014 with most of its unlimited mileage, 2-year warranty still remaining? At this price, it makes no sense to buy new from a dealer when you can have most of the warranty, and have it shipped to you, and still save almost $2,000 after shipping. But have you checked loan rates lately?! My local credit union is offering 2.44% for 72 months for new AND USED motorcycles. Lower rates for shorter terms.
