The 1995 Ducati 916 was the first in a line of motorcycles that revolutionized sport bike design and dominated Super Bike racing for over a decade. This example has traveled only 2,806 miles and is essentially brand new. I am the original owner. The machine is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition and is a terrific investment. Recent fluids change, new battery, clear Wisconsin title. Medical condition forces sale. Sold as is where it is.

2002 Ducati Monster S4, Will entertain trades for the following: mid-nineties 900ss, 999, ST4/ST3, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, BMW S1000R, or possibly a vintage/antique bike of same value. you want to trade, contact me. Up for sale or trade is a super rare 2002 Ducati S4 Fogarty. This is a special edition Monster created to honor World Superbike racer Carl Fogarty. There were only 300 of these bikes manufactured worldwide with only 75 making their way to the US and sold exclusively by internet. This particular bike is #196. These bikes are very, very rare and command a big price for those collecting Ducatis. This bike, along with the others will increase in price due to their very limited numbers. The S4 Fogarty has a special red, white, and black color scheme to reflect the factory Ducati colors raced by Fogarty. It sports a 916cc V-twin Desmoquattro engine, Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust cans, with a special factory ECU to run the pipes. It is loaded with carbon fiber bits all over to include the bikini fairings. The bike has a total of 4,406 miles. The instrument cluster was changed out on warranty with noted mileage of 3,325 at that time. I have the service record showing that. I put a total of 959 miles on it. I replaced the air filter with a K&N model, new battery, and changed the oil about a month ago. The bike also comes with front and rear paddock stands which came with the bike when it was new. You can see the special Fogarty emblems on the stands. It has a cover, also from the factory, which has the "Foggy" emblem on it. It comes with two ignition keys, the red key, and the key card. It has the owner's manual and tools under the seat. I will include the second ECU if you want to put DOT cans back on it. This is a beautiful bike and shows like new. I get compliments on it every time I took it out. Being such a rare bike, you are almost guaranteed to be the only one on the road. In fact, I took it to an Italian Motorcycle Show a couple years ago that had a lot of bikes. This was the only S4 Fogarty there. It is fast and the Termi pipes make it loud. You WILL turn heads on this bike. I am asking $8,500 but will entertain offers. *NOTE: The oil spots seen under the bike are not from it. I had a leaky old Vega that caused that mess. The bike has zero leaks. $8,500.00

We received this bike as a trade-in. It did not run when we received it and is not currently running now. This would be a great winter project or to make into a custom bike. This bike comes with the side cases. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about the ST2: The Ducati ST2 is an Italian sport touring motorcycle that was made by Ducati between 1997 and 2003. It had a two-valve 90° V-twin engine. In 2004, it was replaced by the three-valve ST3. For touring, the ST2 had seating for two, and wind protection from its full fairing. As a sport touring motorcycle the ST2 has hard luggage, relaxed ergonomics compared with sport bikes, and powerful engine in comparison to typical touring motorcycles.FrameThe frame is a tubular trellis frame, similar to the 916 frame in torsional rigidity and lightness.EngineThe Ducati ST2 has an engine derived from the 907 Ducati Paso, which had Ducati's signature 90° V-twin (or L-twin), SOHC, 2-valve desmodromic heads, Remus exhausts, 10.2:1 compression and Webber-Marelli electronic fuel injection with one injector and one spark plug per cylinder. It has an increased bore to 944cc and a heavier flywheel appropriate to its touring function.SuspensionThe suspension in fully adjustable for the early production series, featuring upside-down Showa forks at the front and Sachs rear shock, the same as the Ducati 916 Superbike but with softer damper ratings.Brakes and tiresThe ST2 front brakes feature twin 320mm floating Brembo discs and four-piston calipers, while the rear uses Brembo single 245mm disc with a twin-piston caliper. The recommended tyres are Michelin Macadam or Metzeler's MEZ4 sport radials in 120/70 ZR17 for the front and 170/60 ZR17 for the rear, on Brembo rims.ErgonomicsThe riding position is slightly forward for sport riding and touring comfort. The large dual saddle accommodates two riders.Gauges[edit]The tachometer is positioned centrally. Under the gauges is a liquid-crystal window that displays fuel level, engine coolant temperature and time. Placing a Bid: Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle. For Sale is this numbered edition Ducati 1098R Bike includes data acquisition software and all the items that came factory on this bike. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about this bike: The Ducati 1098 is a sport bike made by Ducati from 2007 to 2009, in three versions, the 1098, 1098S, and 1098R.[1][2] The 1098 was succeeded by the 1198 in 2009, though the 1098R remained in production that year. The 1098 shares more design elements with the older 998 than with its predecessor the 999, such as horizontally placedheadlights and a non-integrated exhaust system. Another carryover from its 916/998 heritage is the single-sided swingarm. This return to a more traditional Ducati design has been welcomed by many Ducati fans who criticized the design of the 999. The Ducati 1098/1098 S/1098 R were available in black, red, yellow and a special edition 1098s in the Italian national flag colours of red, white and green called Tricolore. The 1098 was designed by Ducati designer, Giandrea Fabbro.[3]PerformanceThe 1098/1098 S makes a manufacturer claimed 160 hp (119 kW), 90.4 lb·ft (123 N·m) torque, and weighs 173 kg (381 lb). The 0-60 mph time is less than 3.0 seconds and top speed is estimated at 180 mph (290 km/h).[2] The 1098 R, with its larger displacement 1198 cc engine, makes a manufacturer claimed 180 hp (134 kW), 99.1 lb·ft (134 N·m) torque. All these figures give the 1098 the highest torque-to-weight ratio of any production sport bike ever made.[4]RacingDucati 1098Ducati 1098 SDucati 1098 R Bayliss LimitedWith the release of the 1098, Ducati created a stir not only with road riders, but also in the racing world, specifically theSuperbike World Championship. In an attempt to level the playing field, WSBK regulations provide for concessions to motorcycles depending on the number of cylinders in their engine design. The fewer the cylinders, the more concessions, and with its two cylinder V-twin design Ducati was able to capitalize on many of these concessions.Ducati argued that the current engine was at the end of its design life (which surrendered as much as 20 hp to the competition in 2007, its last year in WSBK) and that it would be too expensive to keep the 999 competitive. The 2007 WSBK rules limited V-twin engines to 1000 cc, so Ducati effectively did not have a guarantee that the 1098 was eligible for entry in the premier class. Before releasing the 1098, Ducati lobbied the FIM to update the WSBK rules to accommodate its new bike, threatening to withdraw from WSBK competition if the rules weren't changed. Other manufacturers were not happy about racing a bike with a larger engine, especially when that bike belonged to Ducati, which has historically dominated WSBK competition, and Suzuki even threatened to withdraw if the rules were changed. Ducati prevailed when, in June 2007, the FIM announced that the engine capacity limit would increase to 1200 cc for 2008.[5] However, this increase in displacement was not afforded without concessions on the part of Ducati. With the new 1200 cc maximum displacement for two-cylinders granted, the extra engine modifications allowed two-cylinder machines were surrendered. Engine modification rules for two-cylinder and four-cylinder machines are now parallel. Rules for three-cylinder machines remain as before.Ducati won the 2008 and 2011 Superbike World Championship with its 1098 R, along with the 2008 British Superbike Championship. Ducati have won 14 World Championships since the Superbike World Championship was established in 1988, and secured the manufacturer’s title for the 16th time.[6] Xavier Siméon won the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup season.Remodelled for 2009For 2009, Ducati took the past success of the 1098 and modified it to honour a racing legend and to improve the performance of the Superbike.Key changes include an upgrade into a 180 hp 90° V-twin "Testastretta Evoluzione" engine, and the inclusion of the Ducati Traction Control for better handling. The more common version of the bike is called "1098-09 R", which comes with the traditional Ducati red fairing, black chassis, and white sub-frame. The wheel rims are gold colored. The main reason for Ducati to re-model this bike was to celebrate Troy Bayliss' victory in the 2008 Superbike World Championship seasonriding for Ducati, after which he retired. Ducati built the remodelled 1098 to salute the career of Bayliss and his three World Championships. It also allowed for Ducati to sell a few models of the 1098 in a colour scheme very similar to the one that Bayliss' bike used during his successful races in the 2008 Grand Prix, as well as his number "21" on the side. This model is suitably named "Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition". According to Ducati, only 500 units of this new bike were manufactured. Other additions to the 1098 R Bayliss LE include carbon fibre heat shield on the exhaust and 5-spoke wheels (similar to Bayliss' original). It then went on to win a second world title with Carlos Checa in 2011.Reviews and awardsThe SWA (Supertest World Association) awarded the 1098 the "Best Bike of the Year" award for 2008[7]"International Bike of the Year 2007 and 2008" by the choices of the world's moto-journal communities as well as journalists[8]"Best of Show" reward in Italy and abroad[9]"Best Design" and "Best Sportbike" awarded by the Motorcycle Design Association[9]"Bike of the Year" 2007 award given by magazines Moto, Australian Motorcycle News and Motorrad[9]"Sportbike of the Year" 2008, Cycle World[10]SpecificationsAll specifications are manufacturer claimed unless noted otherwise:10981098 S1098 RCHASSISFrameTubular steel Trellis frame in ALS 450Wheelbase1,430 mm (56.3 in)Rake24°30' / 24,5°Front suspensionShowa 43 mm (1.7 in) with TiO fully adjustable upside-down forkÖhlins 43 mm (1.7 in) fully adjustable upside-down fork with TiNFront wheel travel127 mm (5.0 in)120 mm (4.7 in)Front brake2 x 330 mm (13.0 in) semi-floating discs, radially mounted Brembo Monobloc calipers 4-piston, 2-pad.Front wheel5-spoke in light alloy 3.5 in (88.9 mm) x 17 in (431.8 mm)5-spoke in forged light alloy 3.5 in (88.9 mm) x 17 in (431.8 mm)Front tire120/70 ZR17 (Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro tire)Rear suspensionProgressive linkage with fully adjustable Showamonoshock. With the Desmo system, the valve is closed mechanically with the same accuracy as it is opened, enabling steep cam profiles and radical cam timings. This system is used on every single Ducati power unit including our world-beating Superbike and Desmosedici MotoGP engines.Power & torque curves The 848 produces 134hp (98.5kW) @ 10,000rpm and a high accelerating 70.8lb-ft (9.8kgm) of torque @ 8,250rpm.Crankshaft The 848’s lightweight crankshaft assembly operates 94mm pistons powering through short 61.2mm strokes.Lightweight clutch Further refinements in the 848 engine include a sophisticated wet clutch that weighs 1kg (2.2lbs) less than its dry counterpart, has a much longer service life, improved clutch feel and quieter operation.848 Testastretta Evoluzione With the first twist of the wrist, the powerful rush of the Testastretta Evoluzione engine confirms that the rules have changed. The potent 848 is powered by a liquid cooled, L-Twin, Desmodromic engine that produces 30% more power than the 749 it replaced.Exhaust system The super-efficient power unit exhausts through a lightweight 2-1-2 system equipped with a catalytic converter and lambda probe to conform to Euro3 regulations.Vacural® crankcases The highly advanced 848 engine was the first Ducati Superbike to introduce vacuum die-cast crankcases, formed using Vacural® technology, a process that achieves a significant weight saving and ensures consistent wall thickness and increased strength.Magnesium alloy covers Attention to weight reduction is further underlined with the cam covers cast in magnesium alloy.Elliptical throttle bodies The 848 engine is fed by MotoGP-derived elliptical throttle bodies which are equivalent to a diameter of 56mm. Representing a 30% increase in air flow over conventional throttle bodies, the elliptical shape contributes to a considerable power increase. Chassis Magnesium front sub-frame Producing a front subframe in magnesium underlines the attention to weight-saving detail in the Ducati Superbike range. Its construction provides secure support for the headlamp, instruments and fairing, and the weight-saving around this high, forward position contributes considerably to overall ’feel’ and control of the machine.Trellis frameDeveloped in cooperation with Ducati Corse, the lightweight Trellis frame features 34mm main section tubes with a material thickness of 1.5mm. The result is an incredibly rigid construction that remains one of Ducati’s lightest frame solutions ever.Through decades of racing and development, Ducati has proven that innovative chassis engineering and evolutionary frame advancements win races. The tubular Trellis frame, used on every Ducati motorcycle, is a signature design element. This unique Ducati frame is light, rigid and beautiful thanks to its ingenious Trellis design and use of high quality ALS 450 tubing. Each tube is mitred and micro-fusion welded in a complex triangulated pattern and our incredibly strong L-Twin engine cases are functional ’stressed members’ of the chassis.Single-sided swingarm The dual construction technique used for the single-sided swingarm allows the main operational components to use individual aluminium castings so as to ensure strength around the pivot points, wheel hub and suspension links, while lightweight, fabricated aluminium sections are used to complete the construction into a single, beautifully engineered component. The 848 swingarm is colour finished in natural aluminium.Brembo brakes The lightweight 848 features progressive and consistent race-bred braking performance as standard equipment with a tried and tested formula that includes twin radially mounted Brembo callipers each with four 32mm pistons gripping 320mm discs. On the rear is a Brembo two-piston calliper and 245mm disc.Showa forks The 848 features fully adjustable 43mm Showa forks.Lightweight 5-spoke wheels The lightweight front wheels used on all Ducati Superbike models substantially reduces the moment of inertia, enabling a faster change of direction and enhanced acceleration and braking performances. The 848 is equipped with Y-shaped, 5-spoke wheels by Enkei which are finished in black, and fitted with Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa PRO 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear tyres.Superbike aerodynamics Carefully designed for aerodynamic efficiency and to hug the sleek lines of the chassis, the Superbike bodywork enables the rider to blend effortlessly into the correct riding position. Its race-developed fairing design ensures perfect integration with the cooling system by providing efficient flow through the advanced, large surface area coolant radiator, which is assisted by lightweight, high flow electric fan assemblies and oil coolers. Aerodynamically shaped air ducts positioned just below the headlamps are precisely calculated to provide ample air delivery to the pressurised airbox. The lightweight bodywork contributes considerably to overall performance by reducing weight, protecting the Testastretta Evoluzione engine’s power output, and assisting the rider to effortlessly ’tuck in’ from the wind stream and reduce drag to achieve maximum straight-line track speeds.Showa rear suspension The rear is controlled by a fully adjustable Showa single shock. Equipment Stopwatch The digital display is programmed with a stopwatch function that, when enabled, can be triggered by using the high-beam flash button and each recorded time stored in a memory. After your journey or track session, the times or lap times can be recalled from the memory and scrolled through by using the instrumentation buttons on the left-hand switchgear.Controls Ducati Superbikes are equipped with adjustable levers that operate Brembo radial-type master cylinders with remote reservoirs. Add easy-to-use switchgear with stopwatch function and DTC and DDA management and it becomes clear that functionality plays a major role alongside performance.Lighting The horizontal twin headlamps, a signature Ducati style from the iconic 916, are modernised with the latest lighting technology. Two polyellipsoidal units light the way with a powerful beam while maintaining an aggressive look to the front of the machine in pure Ducati Superbike tradition. The rear light employs a specially designed strip of LEDs enhanced by a high diffusion lens shaped into the sleek lines of the tailpiece. The same LEDs are intensified for brake lights. The directional indicators also use the latest in LED technology for illumination. The frontal indicators are beautifully integrated into the rear view mirrors.Mirror extension kit All Superbike mirrors come with an optional spacer kit enabling an extension of 30mm over the standard mirror stem length.DDA ready The instrument display also doubles as a control panel for the activation of the Ducati Data Analyser (DDA) system, which is available as an accessory from Ducati Performance. The bike has been built ‘system-ready’ for the data acquisition kit, which consists of special DDA software and a memory key that slots into a plug under the seat. The same plug also doubles as the connection for a handy new battery charger available as an accessory from Ducati Performance. At the end of a ride or track session, up to 4mb of data can be downloaded ready to compare, analyse and get an inside view of the performance of both you and the bike.GP-derived instruments This pure racing digital instrumentation originating from Ducati’s MotoGP project has no switches or buttons to compromise its clean, minimalist lines. Instead, information additional to the default read-outs is managed from the left-hand handlebar-mounted switch gear, allowing the rider to scroll through and select from various menus. The display, which has a bright white LED back lighting, presents rpm and speed, with the former displayed across the screen in a progressive bar graph. Optionally, the rpm and speed can be displayed in numeric values. Additionally, it displays lap times, DTC level selected (if activated on 1198 S, 1198 S Corse and 1198 R Corse) time, air temperature, coolant temperature, battery voltage, two trips and a trip that automatically starts as the fuel system goes onto reserve.Warning lights illuminate to signify neutral, turn signals, high-beam, rev-limit, low oil pressure, fuel reserve, DTC intervention (if activated on 1198 S, 1198 S Corse and 1198 R Corse) and scheduled maintenance. The instrument display is also used as the control panels for the DDA (DDA kit supplied as standard on 1198 S, 1198 S Corse and 1198 R Corse) and DTC systems as well as listing lap times recorded by using the high-beam flash button as a stopwatch. USED MOTORCYCLE FOR SALE: 2001 HONDA VTR1000F SUPER HAWK 996 Excellent condition, barely broken in with only 4,145 miles!!! Extremely fast 1000cc class V-Twin machine with incredible torque. This bike keeps up with the fastest sport bikes all day long and is just as enjoyable to ride on more relaxed solo cruises. Those of you who know this machine, know this machine. Honda discontinued the VTR1000F a few years ago despite all of the praise and rave reviews for its amazing performance and reliability. If you are not familiar with this model please take a moment to do some online research and you will find loads of great reviews and positive commentary. The VTR1000F has the largest carburetors Honda has ever put on one of its production motorcycles and while being a true performance sport bike the riding position is slightly more upright than other sport bikes, making long rides and tours much more comfortable. This bike has had two adult owners, myself and the woman I purchased it from about seven years ago. It has been very well maintained and cared for, and has always been stored indoors. This is a stock motorcycle with the exception of the aftermarket front turn signals and removal of the factory license plate holder/rear fender. The first owner removed the license plate holder/rear fender and installed an alternate license plate bracket and light. This bike has always passed Massachusetts state inspection without any issues. The plastic panel covering the rear of the seat is easily removed to accommodate a passenger. The original Honda VTR1000F Owner's Guide and stock tool kit are with the bike and in great condition. I have just installed a new Interstate AGM battery. I also have the Honda (HELM) factory maintenance and service manuals for this bike available for sale as well. Clean Massachusetts title, in my name, is "in hand" and ready to be signed over to buyer. Please see the Internet link in the last image for a video of the bike running. The video and all pictures in this listing were just taken a couple of days ago. Price: $4,950 OR BEST OFFER Serious buyers only please. Cash in-person sale only. The bike is in Greenfield, MA 01301 within 5 minutes of I-91, Route 2, and Routes 5&10. Please call MATT with any questions and to set up a time to come and see this bike. 4 one 3 - seven 7 three - 0 six 1 one If you reach my voicemail please leave me a message with your phone number, so that I may return your call.
