The most expensive Japanese sportsbike available at the time, the 1986 Suzuki GSX-R 750R Limited Edition was a solid 60 pounds lighter than the competition. Because of that, lots of these bikes went straight to the track, making them few and far between in this condition. Only 199 exported to USA, and a total production worldwide of 1000.This bike is an amazing piece of history, absolutely gorgeous and has been in my collection for some time. I have rode this bike sparingly over the past years but have maintained it both mechanically and cosmetically in a temperature controlled environment. Cosmetically, the bike is in excellent condition with the exception of a very, very small soft dimple in the right hand upper rear corner of the tank that a good PDR tank man could take care of but in my neck of the woods there are none. All original equipment to best of my knowledge, but will let you be the judge. The bike has approximately 4900 miles on the clock, only accessory is a original Lockhart and Phillips GSX-R tank bra. Mechanically the bike is "spot on" (just tuned) but you may want to do some fine tuning as well as set the bike up to accomadate you personally, or simple admire for what it is, and will be in the future. One fork seal starting to slightly weep, and if you planning on riding I would suggest new tires as these are getting on in years. I am not going into the history or the desirability of this particular model. It is generally well known by any student of the early superbikes that maybe interested in this bike. And if not, there is considerable information available on-line or from knowledgable resources. Also for some, what it is, and is not as far as originality will be a subject of debate, I personally do not regard myself as a expert so I have attempted to display the bike in the best way I can by removing the plastics. All in all, I personally feel it a very nice example in comparison to the limited number sales I have monitored in the past.The bike has a clear Oklahoma title, and a "Bill of Sale" will be supplied if desired. The bike is offered "As Is" with no warranty expressed or implied. The bike will be available for inspection, but no "test rides" without cash in hand. I am retired will help you or your shipper to pickup the bike in a timely manner. I can store the bike for a resonable time (paid full) if shipping is delayed for some time. But the new owner should aquire insurance as I will no longer will be responsible. Bike nor title will not be released until all funds are cleared. This Black and Chrome beauty is totally dialed in and is mechanically perfect. Re-powered and painted about 8 years ago. Owned by my father that has lost confidence in his riding skills being 76yo. He trailered the bike to Laconia 1 year, trailered it to Sturgis once and to Daytona 3 or 4 different years other than those miles very few here local in Miami. The bike is about as S&S as it gets, it sports a 124ci motor, a very rare 6 speed S&S transmission and a S&S clutch rated up to 200hp. It was dyno'd in Carls Speed Shop Datona to have 143rwhp 138ft lbs of torque. Thunder Cone exhaust. The only original parts from 86 on the bike are the frame and fork(fork seals were done), with a Carlini chrome torque arm, D.I.D.Xring chain power gets put to the street. Stainless braided brake lines going to the dual six piston P&M calipers it stops with authority. The tank, side covers and bags were custom molded and tail lights shaped in the rear is unique. Chrome control boxes and blade levers dress the bars with a custom ostrich seat. The bike is about an 8.5 on esthetic condition, mechanically its a 10. The bike is fired up a couple time a year but has been parked now for 4 years...he wont ride it so he wants to move on.
