I purchased this bike about 3 years ago. The bike was an all original bike as seen in one of the photos with white and red paint. The bike features a Road 6 Customs weld on hardtail frame kit with a 4" stretch and 2" drop. With the weld on hard tail kit the frame is able to retain the original VIN# so it is still titled as a Harley Davidson and NOT a special construction bike. The bike has 14,110 original miles. The engine is original and the cylinders show little signs of wear as seen in the pictures. The side cases are in great condition. The engine runs well and shifts well. All oil lines were replaced with the new round oil tank and new oil change. Brand new S&S Super E Shorty carb and chrome mesh air filter. I removed the engine from the frame and after installing the weld on kit and had the frame powder coated semi gloss black. The tank is the original Harley Davidson 2.4 gallon peanut tank with no dents or dings or scratches and was powder coated a darker red with some metallic. The Ironhead decal on the tank is removable if you want. The front and rear fender were powder coated gun metal gray. New Road 6 customs strut bars for rear fender. Road 6 Customs round oil tank powder coated gun metal gray. Brand new Avon Speedmaster tires front and rear. The forks have new seals and are powder coated semi gloss black. The seat is new Rich Phillips black leather seat with 2" chrome springs. New chrome hand controls and levers and black Biltwell grips. New Biltwell Frisco bars and risers. New Road 6 Customs side mount license plate mount. New Stainless Steel tail light off 1927 Ford model A. New chrome upsweep exhaust with black DEI heat wrap. New foot pegs. Brand new red top Odyssey battery. The bike has all new wiring that I did. All wiring is loomed and heat shrinked. New fuse box under the seat with stater relay. The coil and plug wires were cleaned up and are clean original parts. Over all the bike is in fantastic condition. It is a new custom build and is a sweet bar hopper. I have probably only put on about 150 miles since I completed it and it gets looks everywhere I ride. Buyer is responsible for shipping method and costs. I am selling my Kawasaki KLR650. I have done regular maintenance on it, such as a battery change, spark plug change, tire replacements, oil change, new chain, lamps and headlights, brake fluid flush, radiator flush, replaced carburetor, replaced worn parts, brake change, etc. I am a married mechanic joining the United States Marine Corps, so I plan on selling it before I go to boot camp, due to my wife does not ride motorcycles. It was formerly a daily driver from Texas City to Downtown Houston. It has been on quite many road trips across the nation. The previous owner was my older brother. It is a reliable and beautiful motorcycle, but there are some signs of wear. I repainted the exhaust and I also attempted to repaint the glossy black metal parts of the motorcycle, but I did not succeed doing so. I got a flat tire on the road last year and I had the vehicle transported to my house in the back of a small truck, which cause some of the cosmetic damage to the motorcycle. I bought a new tire soon after the event. The motorcycle had also been bumped into causing some cosmetic damage. Lately I have not ridden the motorcycle very often. I put on new Pilot Road 2CT tires, had the brake fluid changed, had the timing belt changed, new clutch master cylinder (with Ducati original part), and put in a new battery. I have been changing the oil only with synthetic and recently changed it. I think I have some extra maintenance parts such as air, fuel, and oil filter.I also have a set of European exhausts. They sound great, but the OEM are quite light and neighbor-friendly. I can part with them for a low price.One of the only two model years that it had a metal tank, less electronics, no catalytic converter, yet had fuel injection. I was planning to keep it as a collector's bike for a longer time, but I need the space in my garage and don't ride it enough. Very few Monsters 900ie out there that could be in such a condition--it took me a long time to find it a few years ago.It is great for short riders and has incredible torque. One of the lightest bikes in this class. I think dry weight is about 380lbs, and it is air cooled.$4,900, firm.Priced to sell. The Maltese Cross foot pegs and heel rests look great on this Harley, and are extremely comfortable. The black mirrors fit this bike perfectly. The LED brake light shines super bright, and the Vance & Hines shorty pipes not only look fantastic, they sound awesome! Gives this Night Train and loud growl! GREAT LOOKIN' FAT BOY!! When you see a bike like this one, you understand this is what a motorcycle ought to be. Big and solid and massive. With full metal fenders. Fork tubes like tree trunks. And that?s probably why they?ve been a mainstay on American roads from the first day they set giant wheels to asphalt. Understandably, there is much to like here. Solid disc wheels. Wide 150mm rear tire. Floorboards large enough for Big Foot-sized boots. And a hearty, counterbalanced Twin Cam 88B motor beating in its chest. This particular Fat Boy starts right up and rides beautifully. The body panels are all in great shape, with no signs of previous damage anywhere. The seats are also in great shape, with no rips or tears. Tires have plenty of tread on them for thousands of miles of driving. The driver and passenger floorboards are super comfortable. The highway lights provide plenty of light for those night trips. The 88ci carbeurated motor coupled with the aftermarket pipes gives you that awesome Harley sound! People know you are riding a Harley for sure! The passenger backrest is nice and wide, giving the passenger all the comfort they need. About the only flaw I can see on this bike is some pitting on the bottom of the forks. After 10 years, this happened to the best of them. just another way for you to save money!
