It's a beauty!!!This is all numbers matching machine including the frame, frame badge and the motor. Miles appear to be original to the bike. This bike is pretty original with accessories that every BMW enthusiast will appreciate like engine crash bars, Denfeld solo seat complemented with the Pagusa in the back (stock factory setup). Bike comes with 2 ignition keys, original owners manual and Shop Manual. I can help to arrange the shipping of the bike to lower 48 states on buyers expense $350-$650 depending on the destination location. I use Uship.Recent service included following:* Change of all top end seals and gaskets, (big job),* New drive shaft boot, new screws and lock washers,* Everything torqued to specs, * Valves adjusted, * Fluids all changed, * New Air Filter Installed* New Exhaust Headers from Vech installed including the cross pipe,* New Solo Seats Installed, * New Switch Harness installed, * NOS tires installed, * Timing set, Bike runs and rides excellent and needs nothing. I rode this bike and shifted all 4 gears. It was a pleasure. This extraordinary machine usually starts in three kicks or less if you follow the procedure correctly. Electrical components all work as intended including the horn. Front and rear brakes are fully functional as well. Clean title in hand. "The BMW R 69 S VIN 658506 was manufactured on February 10th, 1964 and delivered on February 14th, 1964 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." The BMW R69S, produced from 1960 to 1969, was BMW’s sport bike of its day. With 42 horsepower, it was by far the most powerful bike BMW made at the time. You had to pay to play ($1,564 in 1966), but that extra money bought you one of the most prestigious motorcycles available in the day. This is one of my favorite motorcycles of the 1960’s. But I’ll leave the explanation of why that is to Cycle World, who put it best in a 1962 review: "Whatever the BMW’s merits in a contest of speed, it is still the smoothest, best finished, quietest and cleanest motorcycle it has ever been our pleasure to ride. To be honest, we think that anyone who would worry much over its performance-potential is a bit of a booby. The R69S is fast enough to handle any encounter, and it has attributes that are, in touring, infinitely more valuable than mere speed. All things considered, if we were planning a two-wheel style vacation/tour, the BMW would have to be our choice of mount." That's because the bike is clearly inspired by – and pitched directly against – Harley-Davidson's Electra Glide Ultra.Many would be hard pushed to tell them apart, suggesting that Kawasaki has at least got the styling right. For all its kitsch appearance, the Voyager is a convincing rival visually.Where many bikes fail in taking on Harley, however, is in matching other qualities of the troubled Milwaukee marque. To be convincing, the Voyager must be an effective tourer and have a good stab at matching the less easily defined qualities that have persuaded more than 50 per cent of big-bike buyers in the States to buy Harley-Davidsons.Some of the detailing will be given nods of approval, such as the white-on-black, simple serif script on the clocks, the chunky chrome ignition switch and of course the overall look of the big V-twin engine, which looks air-cooled even though there's liquid and a tucked-away radiator.But when it comes to feel, the Voyager isn't quite there. The top box, for example, is made of flimsy plastic with cheap catches that were already rusting on my test bike, while the lock wouldn't defeat a nine-year-old. The panniers are of similar quality and out of place on a near-£14,000 motorcycleThe gearchange is too far in the other direction, with a very heavy feel. The clutch's biting point is vague, making tight manoeuvres harder work than they need be, while the engine lacks the rawness of a Harley. That's a difficult criticism to make (many riders would find the smoother Kawasaki preferable) but for me the essence of Harley is the balance between crudeness and sophistication.Like a Harley, the Voyager's top gear is overdrive-tall, poviding a relaxed feel at motorway speeds. But the height of the unadjustable screen cuts right across the field of vision for taller riders such as myself. Even if you are able to look through it, there's no way of clearing rain drops from it – with a layer of winter road sludge, forward visibility is going to be a real issue.If you can see over the top, there's a relentless vibrating turbulence at anything over 80mph, and since the riding position could well induce backache, longer distances can become more tiring than they should. The seat pushed me too far forward, while the forward footboards didn't allow me to take any weight through my legs.There's plenty of Harley-type equipment, including a radio with ambient sound compensation which is surprisingly clear even at high speeds, although it lacks RDS station recognition which is almost universal these days. There are no rear speakers though, the sound is a lot less clear for the pillion. The passenger's legs rub on the bike's paintwork, too, although it's a comfortable place to be. I'm not keen on the radio buttons elbowing the horn push out of its usual place, while the equally busy right switch cluster includes cruise control, which is useful if sometimes jerky when it engages.As with a Harley, there's a lot of heat coming off the engine. This will be welcome in winter but too much, I suspect, on hot summer days.The bike handles well; neutral right down to walking pace and very stable at high speeds – not like a Harley, for once, and all the better for that. However the underdamped suspension can bounce you around on rougher roads, while the 4.4-gallon tank means that you'll need to worry about refuelling after only 150 miles, despite the Harley-beating 40mpg the bike returns.What you get on the Kawasaki is a consistency of quality that Harley still struggles with. The finish and detailing are to a high standard generally (luggage aside) and you know you won't start seeing major components corrode as soon as you roll it out of the showroom. 2014 Ural T , This is a 2014 Ural T motorcycle I bought new as soon as it came out shortly before my wife and I managed to conceive a child. It really is a fantastic motorcycle all around, but I find I like spending my time with my kid a lot more than riding around on the motorcycle alone. And since I won't take the risk of putting my kid or wife in the motorcycle anymore, I have decided to put it up for sale. I love all Ural and Dnepr sidecar motorcycles, but all of the improvements they made in 2014 really make this a significantly better bike than previous years in terms of reliability, performance, and economy. Among other changes, 2014 was the year these Urals got electronic fuel injection, a new camshaft profile, larger air intake, sealed/replaceable wheel bearings/hubs, disk brakes at each wheel, and a hydraulic steering damper. The end result is more power, more torque, and a faster recommended cruising speed all with better fuel economy. So, unlike previous model years, this 2014 Ural T will do 70mph comfortably all day long and carry rider, passenger, and luggage up steep inclines at speed without a problem. It also seems to manage 30mpg (sometimes more and sometimes less) on average in different driving conditions which is a significant improvement from previous model years. All of these Urals come at sort of fixed MSRP pricing with additional shipping and setup (build) fees from IMZ-Ural who imports them from Russia in to Washington state. So, this bike new would be about or just over $16,000 out the door from even the most competitive dealer which is significantly more than the model years prior to 2014. I know I am going to have to take a loss though since I bought it new and have put around 1500 miles (2300 kilometers) on it over the last year. So, I have priced it to sell at $11,750 in the hopes it can go to a good home of another sidecar motorcycle enthusiast. The motorcycle was carefully broken in with the engine worked across all RPM ranges and absolutely no highway driving before the first service. I had the deep sump oil pan installed on the first service to improve cooling and increase the longevity of the motor. It also received a new and improved final drive seal on the second service that will be what Ural uses going forward in the 2015 models. The motorcycle starts easily, runs perfectly, and is ready for someone to spend a lot more time on it than I have been. Owning and riding the Ural has been a great experience all around and was well worth the money I am going to lose selling it, but I have already priced this at what I am confident is a great deal for the right buyer. As with all of my builds I have "test" rode her around town for the a few day, and she runs and rides Perfectly ! The "barn find" finish give this bike that great nostalgic feeling one would expect from the bikes of that era. All nicks, scratches, flaws in paint, "rusty" parts, and distressed logos are all purposely done to give this bike an antique look and feel. These bikes are crafted with completely NEW parts that are only finished to look old and worn. Each bike is a one off build ! For this build I wanted to produce a more traditional style replica, instead of the "Board track style" I've been building of late. I was recently bending the ear of a few of my elders that have done it all,(and still have the grit under their nails to prove it), and it struck me. The Board track style replica is not for everyone. Tho I love the feel of that style personally, others may find it less practical for riding around than the more traditional stance of these iconic bikes. If I do say so my self, I feel the goal was met, but you be the judge... From the Hand made frame, tank, and motor plates, to the rustic paint of the barn find finish, to the brass fuel line flowing to a sediment bowl, right down to the 3 spring genuine leather seat, leather front mud flap and the kickstand setup, NO detail has been over looked !!! If only everyone could come by to view and feel the bike in person. Kick your leg over one of these bikes and your taken back to those, Simpler times and roots this country was built on !!! So few originals were even produced back then. Only a small number of them survive to this day, and only a very small percentage of those ever come on the market. Not to mention that when they do, the rareness has rightly so, driven prices so high that not many can afford them. But here's a chance at the next best thing to that 100+ yr old original. The nuts and bolts... With fantastic MPG's from the 80cc 2 stroke motor, the joy of riding to the corner store or all the way across town is up to you. The extremely simplistic motor is virtually maintenance free, only needing a chain tension adjustment from time to time. Which is simply done with common hand tools. The great thing about this Moped style set up is that when you don't want to use the motor, bike functions just like an ordinary bicycle, and can go anywhere you wish to peddle it. When using the motor bike can reach speeds up to around 35mph, and with around 80 MPG the fun seemingly goes on forever. Don't let the mixing of gas with 2 stroke oil deter you, there is a very convenient alternative. Premixed 2 stroke fuels are readily available and sold at most hardware stores. I have found that the brand TrueFuel is the most common. The best thing about these type of fuels is they are ethanol free, which really helps these motors run great at a 40-1 mixture. We pride ourselves in building our bikes not only to be eye catchers but also to be completely functional, and usable day after day. You will find that all of our fuel tank are hand crafted for each individual build. Building each tank by hand not only gives each bike a functional fuel tank, but also allows us to more accurately replicate the style of tank for each individual motif. Depending on the style, each one of our tanks hold at least 1 US Gallon, giving the rider a riding range under motor power of around 80 miles per tank. So many people from different walks of life all seam to have a common draw to the timeless look and feel of these bikes. Many people like to ask questions and take a few photos, never a dull moment riding one of these around town !!! As much fun as they are to ride around town, they are just as fantastic as a functional art peace for an office, den, or as that attention grabbing conversation peace for your/his man cave. They are also fantastic for promotional events or as an eye grabber for a store front. The new Star V Star 1300 Deluxe and Yamaha FJR1300A, both of which performed well in recent tests, are excellent proof. And now there’s the new-for-2014 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec, a pair of neo-bobbers just unveiled by Star at a recent press conference.Like Harley-Davidson and Honda—both which have a lot of momentum right now—Yamaha understands that fresh, stylish and affordable motorcycles are key to resurrecting sales. But rather than building a classic-styled bike, Yamaha opted to build something with a “younger character,” to borrow the words of Star’s Product Manager Derek Brooks.“The big deep-fendered, classic-styled bikes are still very popular but they were more popular five, six or seven years ago,” explains Brooks. “We’ve seen the cruiser market transition through the chopper trend to back-to-basics bikes that prove less is more. The focus is now more on the motorcycle itself and less on chrome and flashy paint. This is a solid trend and I think that the Bolt is going to be very appealing to all types of riders.”Adding to that appeal are MSRPs of $7990 for the standard Bolt and $8290 for the R-Spec. Yamaha keeps prices in check by utilizing the air-cooled, 942cc fuel-injected V-Twin already used in the V Star 950, and this 60-degree engine mounts in an all-new, double-cradle steel frame. With a low 27.2-inch seat height, shortish 61.8-in. wheelbase, slim body and uncluttered shape, the Bolt does indeed have a bobber look, and its suspension is handled by a conventional 41mm fork with 4.7 inches of travel and pair of rear shocks that offer 2.8 inches of cush. Twelve-spoke cast aluminum wheels are fitted with bias-ply tires in sizes 100/90-19 front and 150/80-16 rear. Sportbike-style wave brake rotors measure 298mm front and rear.Clearly, the Bolt’s styling is a mix of old-school bobber and modern. The 3.2-gallon teardrop tank has subtle badges, the front and bobbed rear fenders are made of steel, and contemporary touches include an LED taillight in a classically styled housing, and an LCD speedometer beneath a smoked lens. The two-into-one exhaust features black headers, but with heat shields and muffler done in contrasting aluminum. Gold-anodized shocks with piggyback remote reservoirs distinguish the R-Spec model, which also has an upgraded saddle with contrast stitching. The standard Bolt is available in Raven or Pearl White, whereas the R-Spec comes in Matte Gray or Camo Green. Additionally, Star has created an extensive accessory line that will give these bikes many different looks. Want mini apes and bags? Star has ’em. Sissy bar? Check. Bikini fairing? Affirmative. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed by the previous owner in 03/1993 and only 500 miles ago. See the last pic for extensive maintenance record. "The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1812208 was manufactured on December 15th, 1966 and delivered on December 16th, 1966 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1967 hence it was titled as 1967 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have had in my collection. It is all original bike w/o any mods. This bike has been stored in various conditions in its life and it shows. It is quite clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor has had a recent top end disassembled, inspected, one helicoil professionally installed at the machine shop for the right side spark plug. New rings were installed, new top end gaskets and seals, torqued back to factory specs. Valves and timing was set, carbs re-adjusted. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended. I disassembled the horn, cleaned but did not get it to work, I will try again but no promises. Bike may need new rear tire as I have noticed some weather cracking, front tire is like new. Starts easily as the cold start video shows, runs and rides excellent! "The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention." This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!
