2014 Ural T , This is a 2014 Ural T motorcycle I bought new as soon as it came out shortly before my wife and I managed to conceive a child. It really is a fantastic motorcycle all around, but I find I like spending my time with my kid a lot more than riding around on the motorcycle alone. And since I won't take the risk of putting my kid or wife in the motorcycle anymore, I have decided to put it up for sale. I love all Ural and Dnepr sidecar motorcycles, but all of the improvements they made in 2014 really make this a significantly better bike than previous years in terms of reliability, performance, and economy. Among other changes, 2014 was the year these Urals got electronic fuel injection, a new camshaft profile, larger air intake, sealed/replaceable wheel bearings/hubs, disk brakes at each wheel, and a hydraulic steering damper. The end result is more power, more torque, and a faster recommended cruising speed all with better fuel economy. So, unlike previous model years, this 2014 Ural T will do 70mph comfortably all day long and carry rider, passenger, and luggage up steep inclines at speed without a problem. It also seems to manage 30mpg (sometimes more and sometimes less) on average in different driving conditions which is a significant improvement from previous model years. All of these Urals come at sort of fixed MSRP pricing with additional shipping and setup (build) fees from IMZ-Ural who imports them from Russia in to Washington state. So, this bike new would be about or just over $16,000 out the door from even the most competitive dealer which is significantly more than the model years prior to 2014. I know I am going to have to take a loss though since I bought it new and have put around 1500 miles (2300 kilometers) on it over the last year. So, I have priced it to sell at $11,750 in the hopes it can go to a good home of another sidecar motorcycle enthusiast. The motorcycle was carefully broken in with the engine worked across all RPM ranges and absolutely no highway driving before the first service. I had the deep sump oil pan installed on the first service to improve cooling and increase the longevity of the motor. It also received a new and improved final drive seal on the second service that will be what Ural uses going forward in the 2015 models. The motorcycle starts easily, runs perfectly, and is ready for someone to spend a lot more time on it than I have been. Owning and riding the Ural has been a great experience all around and was well worth the money I am going to lose selling it, but I have already priced this at what I am confident is a great deal for the right buyer. So, please do not contact me about trades or if you do not have the money to make a deal. Thank you for looking and happy riding! $11,750.00

This is a 1995 Ural Solo also known as a Ural Soloist. It’s an early model USA export solo model, kick start only, 650cc, CDI electronic ignition, telescopic forks. Before that, they were either imported gray-market through Canada as Ural-Cossack or thru the UK with the Dnepr model via Neval Motorcycles. The USA sanctioned the USSR after Soviet invasion of Afghanistan so Russian bikes could not be brought in from the USSR but some were brought in from England as Nevals in the early 80s or late 70s complete with troublesome British SU carburetors. The Nevals were said to be assembled in the UK to get around US import laws! Right. Back then I edited a grass-roots newsletter called the Hammer & Cycle. Our club was the Red Menace Motorcycle Register. This was for folks that had bikes built in the Communist block. I posted a copy of our last newsletter on archive.org. For a while, I even had a small parts outlet, ie. parts left over from Red Star Cycle Supply in Oklahoma. Those parts eventually went to Saskatchewan. I have nothing left but a few pieces of communist advertising literature , most of it unrelated to this particular bike, i.e. for Junak, Pannonia, WSK, etc., but all of which will go with this bike. O.K. so you get a small collection of Communist motorcycle sales literature with your vintage Russian bike. Today, you have a fully authorized Ural distributer, many Internet resources and the North American Russian Motorcycle Association club. Times are better! The community is much larger today! This is not one of those old gray market bikes but one directly brought in by Bob Gerend of Ural America in the beginning of sanctioned Urals in the USA. You know, the Berlin wall came down and Russia became free (at least for a while before Putin), investment came in, etc. This bike has a full US EPA sticker and 17 digit VIN. I interviewed Bob for my newsletter as these were first imported. I met him at the bike Expo in NYC. These Urals were built with better chrome, better finish, telescopic forks, front drum brakes, Mikuni style carburetors, CDI electronic ignition and were very much improved that the old USSR version. I believe what Bob said, as the chrome and paint on this bike are still very good after almost 20 years. (See pics) This bike rides like a BMW or Guzzi from the late 60s or early 70s.lt has a claimed top speed of near 80 mph but I've never flogged it. It starts fine, one or two kicks. It runs great and still looks like new. A true solo differs from the sidecar model in that it has upswept mufflers, no reverse, a taller gear ratio and no sidecar lug. There is a blanking piece where the sidecar lug could go, so I believe a sidecar could be added, but there is no reverse. The hand lever on the right side of the transmission is akin to a jockey shift, you can rock it through the gears by hand or easily find neutral. There are probably some other differences likely in the rake and trail, and I don't know about the newest Solos. IMZ-ural.com does not list the Solo for 2014 but it was listed for 2013, so it's kind of a rare bike. I've read they sell less than 20 per year and mostly now on special order! The Ural Solo’s 15 minutes of fame came in the second edition of Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance. Monreau gets his tires shot out on a Ural. He goes off a cliff but still manages to shoot the bad guy as he falls. Classic! This Ural will definitely put a smile on your face and get lots of waves from passers-by. It looks great. Unlike the Ural solo recently offered for sale here on eBay, this one is wholly complete with both side covers and it has not been repainted. The paint is original. All chrome is good. The bike originally came from Mike’s Cycle in Waynesboro, Tennessee and I bought it in Florida, so I am not the original owner. Title is clear and in my name. It has only 11,555 kilometers or 7,180 miles. The speedometer shows both miles and kilometers per mile but the odometer reads in kilometers, so that's 7180 miles. I’m selling it because I have too many bikes. I tend to collect them. This is one of my fun bikes which is not too historically significant, so it goes on eBay to make room. This is listed at a fixed price but feel free to make an offer, or come see it beforehand, etc., also for sale locally. Thanks for looking.

I have owned this sidecar since spring 2013 and as I list this realize I put 236 miles on it in that time. It was purchased sort of as a moment to my father who had wanted one but unexpectedly passed away. (It will be ridden and will have some more miles on her during the listing since I realize how little I've used her.) I have recently removed the vacuum petcock and replaced with a regular one so that you will have one less problem or thing to break, although they are noted to be very reliable. Just installed a new battery and four new tires. I also removed the original Ural pipes and put some stock Harley pipes on it that makes it sound more like a motorcycle than a tractor. Not much to say - she never let me down, the kids and most humans in general really get a kick out of seeing it on the roads. I don't see the need in keeping something I hardly ride though, she needs to be ridden. I reserve the right to cancel this ad as she is for sale locally, I may be able to deliver to the Northeast part of the country this summer. Contact me with any other questions you may have. Check out the Video HERE! https://youtu.be/LLfhLVDVg4c See the below adds for more details -Russian Sidecar Motorcycle Offers a Really Retro RideBetween a two-wheeled motorcycle and a four-wheel car rides the sidecar motorcycle.A sidecar "rig" is attached to the right side of a regular two-wheeled motorcycle and is supported by a third wheel. Russia's Ural is one of very few manufacturers to sell sidecar motorcycles, which offer vastly more passenger and cargo space than a typical motorcycle.Ural's Patrol 750, features old-fashioned styling and technology. Motorcycle makers are going retro. To a regular motorcyclist, a ride on Ural's Patrol 750 model is a very different experience. Instead of leaning into turns, the Patrol has to be muscled around by the handlebars. On left turns the sidecar acts as a stabilizer, but on right turns centrifugal force can pull the sidecar up in the air -- a white-knuckled experience for beginners. The Patrol, priced LESS than $13,000, is suited for relaxed rides around town thanks to its retro styling and extra space. On a Sunday morning test drive, other drivers and pedestrians offered thumbs up as the Patrol, clad in dark green paint, passed by.Driving a sidecar motorcycle feels more like driving a car than a two-wheeler, though its unusual physics leads the Patrol to wiggle around the road. The third wheel comes in handy when stopping for traffic lights -- no need to put a foot down for stability -- and parking is much easier.Sidecar passengers get a soft seat with plenty of legroom and a windshield that eases windblast. Because the seat height is similar to a car, riding in the sidecar feels more like being in a convertible than a motorcycle. The Patrol's retro styling is more than skin deep. Ural's models are based on a BMW design from the 1930s. In the run-up to World War II, Soviet engineers disassembled and copied the design of the BMW R71 to create a battle-ready vehicle, according to the company.Ural, which produces the bike in its factory on the edge of Siberia, has made some updates, but the Patrol is still powered by a pushrod engine that produces 40 horsepower, around half of what most modern motorcycles have. With its modest power, a four-speed gearbox -- most modern motorcycles have at least five gears and six is becoming commonplace -- and hefty curb weight of 739 pounds, the Patrol is rather slow. It will keep up with traffic on local roads, but the company says the maximum speed is only 62 miles an hour, far below typical speeds on U.S. highways. Ural says fuel economy is between 26 and 33 miles per gallon. Besides the extra storage space provided by the sidecar's trunk, the Patrol has a number of clever features that further differentiate it from two-wheelers, including a reverse gear and a parking brake. Another part of its retro design is a kick starter, once standard on motorcycles, but rare now that electric starters are reliable. The Patrol has the ability to power the third wheel when off-road or in slippery conditions, similar to four-wheel-drive in a Jeep. Along with Ural's Gear Up model, which features camouflage green paint, the Patrol is being marketed as a "sport-utility motorcycle" that can handle backwoods riding for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. The Patrol's off-road ability is further evident at low speeds, where the third wheel gives it an incredibly tight turning circle – the bike feels like it can almost pivot in place.Ural (www.ural.com) sold just over 500 motorcycles in the U.S. last year and just more than 2,000 world-wide, according to Madina Merzhoyeva, vice president of marketing and sales for the company's U.S. unit. During the communist era the factory produced as many as 130,000 bikes a year and Urals provided reliable transportation for families in the the Soviet Union, she said.In the U.S., Ms. Merzhoyeva says Ural has been working to overcome poor quality that plagued its models in the 1990s. Urals now come with a two-year warranty and she says the company has made many changes to improve fit and finish in recent years. It also plans to introduce new features, including a fuel-injected engine. Own a piece of history and get high fives wherever you go! I'm the 2nd owner and love the bike. The plan is to sell this one and to buy a brand new one. This is essentially the Jeep or the Landrover of motorcycles. Go anywhere as long as you dare. It's between you and the 2WD, and the 2WD is ready. Gear Up is the most advanced and tricked out version of the entire Ural line up. The long list of features includes: Semi-permanent 2 wheel drive system Reverse gear 2 windshields Power distribution panel in the sidecar with 12V outlet & additional power circuits Spotlight and off road lights on the front of the sidecar Shin guards Spare wheel assembly Padded tractor seats for the rider and the motorcycle passenger Luggage rack over the spare wheel Water resistant tonneau cover (minor rip) 2 Jerry cans (US and Russian made) Shovel Comprehensive tool kit Front disk brake by Brembo Rear drum brakes Electric start and kickstart (this is a blast, wait till folks see you kickstart the bike!) Transmission type: Manual Speeds: 4 forward 1 reverse Primary drive (rear wheel): Driveshaft Engageable sidecar wheel drive This bike as seen the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. It has seen all 4 seasons and loves winter the best! (By the way, low to no rust, which is unusual for New England.) It's been pushed to its limits yet loved and very well maintained. New starter motor, new brakes, new aggressive off road tires. Mileage is in miles in the auction description, but it's 24,300 and growing as show in the photos. It's a daily rider for me, although it's usually short 50 mile trips to the local mountains or some grocery shopping and beer runs. (The sidecar is amazingly capable of holding tons of useful cargo.) Between snow and mud, the Ural is not spic and span at this time as seen in the photos. I will have it detailed for the sale. Google will tell you all the bike specs if you need them. Get this before the regular riding season (around the corner!) - although it's always a riding season when you are a Ural rider. You won't find a Ural in this condition for this price, so don't ask anyone, including your wife. It's better to beg forgiveness, then to ask permission. Current Vermont inspection through Aug 2017. Clear title in hand. Make it happen.

For sale here is a 2013 Ural Gear-Up 2WD 750cc Sidecar Motorcycle. The bike has 6,500Km on it with a brand new engine & transmission 1,300Km ago. The new engine was installed by Heindl Engineering of Eaton, OH under the factory Ural warranty. This bike also has a lot of extras from the dealership: -Diver's Windshield -Sidecar Windshield -Driver's Bench Seat -Fog Lights -Hand guards -Headlight shroud -Running light toggle switch (off road uses only) Standard on this bike is the Brembo front brake, reverse gear, on-demand 2WD (both the sidecar and motorcycle wheel push), rear drum brakes on both the pusher wheel and the sidecar wheel, leading-link front suspension with passive steering damper and shin-guards for blocking the wind on the highway. To say this bike is a head-turner is an understatement. Bike includes Jerry can, shovel, full tool kit, service manual, hand air pump and full-sized spare tire with luggage rack. Also, dogs love riding in the sidecar. (Feel free to look up "Hack Dogs" on Facebook) This bike was recently serviced by Antique Rides in Loveland, CO and is 100% ready to go. I just put in a brand new Yuasa high performance AGM battery for the electric start, but I was still able to kick start it with a dead battery for several months. Within the last two years the sidecar prop shaft and sidecar wheel bearings were upgraded with heavier-duty off-road ready parts. I don't ride this bike enough anymore and have too many other motorcycles. Due to the dangerous nature of operating a sidecar, test-rides will be decided on a per person basis, and may be denied. $12,000 takes it home. Come pick it up before fall camping season is over. If you want a sidecar, you will not regret this purchase. Call, text or email Andrew.

If you have any trouble viewing the slideshow above, please be sure to click on the thumbnail image below to view the web-album with all 33 super-sized photos of this bike: 1938 BMW replica sidecar motorcycle CJ-750 I am the second owner of this nearly exact clone of a 1938 BMW R-71 motorcycle with side-car, just like the German Military used during World War II. A little known fact is that Harley Davidson ALSO copied this BMW design and built a hand full (nearly identical to this bike, except with a springer front fork setup) for the US Military called the Harley XA. None were sold as civilian motorcycles, although they eventually wound up in civilian hands, & are highly sought-after collector’s items. They had this same horizontally-opposed engine configuration and were NOT a transversely mounted V-twin like the rest of Harley’s motorcycles. The U.S. Military even commissioned Delco Corporation (GM?) to build one in a Servi-Car Trike configuration. Indian also copied the BMW design, and built a model called the 841, all with this same style frame & shaft-drive design (a revolutionary idea in the '30s and '40s)! I know it's unbelievable, but you can do a Google Image search to see pictures of all of the above mentioned configurations. Later, the Russian companies Ural & Dnepr acquired the molds from Germany after the two countries signed a non-aggression pact. These motorcycles continued to be built using the original BMW designs until 1950 when Russia put all the molds & dies onto a train, and sent them to the People's Republic of China allegedly as a gift of Communist solidarity. Production resumed under the name CJ-750 which is the brand of this particular motorcycle for sale (CJ stands for the Chang Jiang Aircraft Company, & 750 designates the engine’s displacement). They continued to be built the same way up until 2010, so parts are still quite readily & inexpensively available on eBay & various sites on the internet, which is one of the best things about owning one of these bikes! Some sources say that this is likely the most common motorcycle on the face of the planet… it’s just that extremely few of them ever made it onto U.S. soil because it was such an antiquated design by the time the CJ-750 was being produced by the millions, and Americans wanted the latest styling & modern performance so they were never imported here as new machines. I've learned SO much from the 3 of these bikes I've now owned (cite history-lesson above), and never had a problem finding anything I needed for them. This motorcycle is all original, & it’s a complete bike. As I mentioned above, the engine is a 750cc horizontally-opposed Flathead 2-cylinder 4-stroke with the original points & condenser distributor upgraded to electronic ignition. It has a 4 speed transmission with reverse! Heel-Toe foot-shift, or hand-lever “suicide shifter” on the side of the transmission (I have a linkage kit which attaches to the right side of the tank included with the bike to make it hand-shift if you like the nostalgia of that)! It has a High-speed rear end (goes 60mph). It’s pretty heavy (about 800 pounds with the sidecar plus then you add the weight of 1, 2 or 3 people on top of that), so it’s not a speed-demon (I have a rear-seat which is spring-loaded like the front one, and mounts to the rear fender). Some of the newer models of the CJ-750 have engines with overhead-valve style cylinder heads which can be interchanged, but aren’t as authentic to the original design, and are only slightly more powerful than the old flattie design. They also make the bike a lot wider, and the right jug must be notched if you want to run a sidecar with it. I really prefer the look of this flat-head design. This one features both kick start AND electric start, as well as a modern 12 volt charging system (modern upgrades for reliability). It has modern Mikuni style carbs. Both cylinder’s connecting rods are hinged on the same crankshaft journal (much like a Harley V-Twin), so the engine has a great sound to it. There’s Dual Exhaust, with way-cool fish-tail mufflers. It has very unique clutch & brake levers hinged from the outside. I have it legally titled, licensed & insured in my name as a 2003 Reconstructed Vehicle, and it was inspected by the Iowa D.O.T. to ensure it has front & rear brakes, working high & low beam headlight, turn signals & brake light, etc to be street-legal. The original VIN stamp matches the VIN number on the title. The sidecar headlight & taillight come on when the other lights are on as well, which is a neat touch! The bike fires right up on the first kick (see video above), runs very well and has no known mechanical issues. The carbs are PZ28s, recently cleaned and balanced. This is incredibly RARE, but there are actually NO leaks from the engine, transmission, or rear-end on this bike! All electrical accessories (lights, horn, starter) work properly. Odometer is in Kilometers, BUT you can buy decal-overlays which show both MPH and KPH online for cheap (I did this on the gauge of my last one of these bikes). This machine tracks straight down the road with the sidecar attached, which is easily removed and the bike can be run solo. In my opinion, the dirtier it gets, the better it looks (patina). I kept some pictures from the previous owner in Beverley Hills, California where this bike never saw anything but cobblestone streets and pavement, but mostly I like cruising it on winding, scenic, dirt river-roads (where you would normally never take a 2-wheeled bike). It's got a giant training-wheel off to the side making it incredibly stable. It cleans up beautifully, but just looks more authentic dusty... like it just came out of 75 year barn-storage. I hope you agree... otherwise, I apologize, and can have it polished up before it leaves. Upgrades A number of mechanical and electrical improvements for performance and reliability were made: · The original pistons and rings were replaced with aftermarket high performance 4-ring pistons which give a noticeable boost in power. · Installed a deep sump oil pan and oil pickup to help keep the engine cool. There is a temp gauge on the oil dipstick as it is important to monitor temp on these air-cooled bikes in hot weather. · Replaced the stock fuel lines with clear fuel lines and dual in-line filters. · Added brass fittings to the carbs to assist in synchronizing with a manometer. · Replaced the stock air cleaner with a smaller BMW-style filter unit, resulting in a less cluttered appearance and better engine breathing. · Upgraded the electrical system with solid-state electrics including a modern voltage regulator, rectifier board and starter solenoid. These parts are enclosed in a locked toolkit mounted to the side of the bike, resulting in far better reliability and a more vintage appearance than standard. I have a matching primered toolkit for the opposite side of the bike for symmetry, which could be painted black to match, and installed as well. Most noticeable when riding with the sidecar removed. · Installed a smaller high-power Yuasa battery in a custom battery box in the stock location, saving several pounds of weight. · Replaced the center stand with a side kick stand, making it easier to park the bike when running “solo” without the sidecar. · A seat-belt was installed in the sidecar. While I doubt it improves the safety of an adult passenger, it might help them feel secure... perhaps keep a child or a dog from exiting the ride during motion. My dog rides in the sidecar, and I even have a pair of goggles for her (they say "Doggles" on them). I can provide pictures upon request! Never in all the many, many vehicles I've owned have I ever had one generate so much attention. Everywhere I take this thing, people want to take pictures with it, and sit in the sidecar, etc. Just puts a smile on everyone's face like nothing else I've ever driven. A real Harley XA or BMW R-71 would cost more than my house. This clone will get you the same experience for thousands of dollars less, and 99% of people will be none-the-wiser. I've taken it to shows, and people absolutely go nuts over it. It is currently titled, registered, and insured, so test rides are welcome. I'm driving it daily, so a few more Kilometers may rack up on the odometer by the end of the auction. The weather is nice, but I had fun riding it in the snow as well at the end of winter. You could ride this bike year-round! Thanks for looking. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
