1985 Honda Rebel (CMX250C), For sale or trade I have a black 1985 Honda Rebel 250cc. It runs great, about 3,000 miles ago i cleaned the carb, put new Bikemaster chain and sprockets on it, and replaced all 4 blinkers, i change the oil every 1,000-1,500 miles. 1,000 miles ago it got a new battery, new front tire, new fork oil and seals, a radio/mp3 system, and soft saddlebags. When i bought this bike it had a small dent on each side of the tank (pictured), i layed over at about 15 MPH 500 miles ago causing some scratches on the exhaust and breaking off the rear right blinker which i taped on and has held fine (pictured). There's some cracking on the seat that i have covered most of (pictured). So there is some cosmetic damage to the bike but it runs and functions great! Clean title, 17,385 miles, these bikes are known for being practically bulletproof. Would make a great christmas present! Once FROZEN IN TIME, this brand new old stock 1987 Honda Rebel CMX450c sat on the Virginia dealer showroom at Covington Honda, a closed dealership, from 1987 to 2013, when it was sold along with 70 other old motorcycles to David Silver Spares of England, along with a treasure trove of NOS Honda parts. The verified story is that the successful dealer had been in business for many years, built a new show room along I-64 overlooking the freeway where all drivers could see into the showroom, and began moving the dealership's bikes into the new facility. A Honda representative dropped by one day and told the dealer that he was not licensed by Honda to sell their motorcycles at his new location, only the old one. The outraged dealer kicked the Honda rep out of his building, locked the door, and never sold another Honda motorcycle or part again. The bikes were still just sitting on the showroom floor, many of them brand new machines (including this 2 mile 450 Rebel and a CBX1000), when the owner died in 2002. Everything remained as it sat until David Silver bought the entire contents of the Covington dealership from the family in 2013, and Vintage Motorcycle Rescue bought this machine in early 2015 from David Silver. We've restored it to excellent running condition. The bike was not running because it had been left in the showroom with fuel in the tank. The tank was taken off and all the powdery rust was removed to bare metal, the battery, air filter element, and fuel petcock were replaced, and the carburetors were completely rebuilt with an ultrasonic cleaning and Keyster kits. The oil was changed to Redline 20-50. It runs perfectly, but not wanting to add miles to the odometer, no one has ridden the bike since the restoration work was completed. There is no doubt this is the only brand new 1987 Honda 450 CMX450c in the world. It comes with its original tool kit still in the tool box, a new AGM battery installed for starting (along with a new correct still dry OEM NOS white Yuasa battery in the box), the original Owner's Manual (which was still wrapped around the tool kit), Dealer setup instruction manual, and we've added a new Honda Service Manual and NOS Dealership Sales Brochure from 1987. This motorcycle can be shown at any Concours d'Elegance or any other show in a non-restored, preservation, or 1987 year class. In seven more years it will be eligible for AMCA shows and judging, and if kept in its present condition, would easily make a Winner's Circle award with 99+ points. From all of the time spent at Covington Honda, this all original showroom stock bike is really in remarkable condition. The only two minor defects include very slight pitting on top of the chrome battery box cover, and a minor repaired 1/2 inch scratch on the left side of the rear fender. Neither of these is really noticeable to a casual viewer but since they are the only defects on the entire bike, they are mentioned. We thought about chrome plating the battery cover, but it would ruin the original perfect 450 Rebel sticker and the chrome would be better than OEM. Everything on the bike is like new, including the tires and all warning stickers, and it needs nothing. If you just want to customize a Rebel 450, please don't place a bid on this one. It deserves a good home where it will remain stock and well cared for. The 450 Rebel is rare because it was only produced for two years, during 1986-1987. The popular 2015 Rebel 250 is still a current model in production and will cost more than $5000 out the door. There is really no comparison to this new 450 time capsule. 2012 Honda Rebel (CMX250C), Up for sale is a 2012 Honda Rebel 250cc. This was my first bike and I am ready to move up, it has been a great bike for the last two years and I'm sad to part with it. Ideally I would buy a bigger bike and do a bobber/rat bike project with this one but I just can't afford two motorcycle payments :( Let my financial shortcomings be your motorcycling gain! This thing is stock, no add ons, no special parts of questionable origin. I do have 2 hard saddle bags to fit it that I'll throw in, they look awesome on this Rebel but I couldn't get the blinkers in them to work. This bike has never been dropped, no dings in the gas tank, no dents in the fenders, no scratched paint. Let me repeat that: this bike has never been dropped. I have kept up on maintenance with oil changes every 1,000 miles. With just over 2,700 miles the brakes are still good, tires are still good, this is a fun bike to ride, especially for people getting used to riding.
