FOR SALE BY OWNER: 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad VN1500L2 Fuel Injected Motorcycle. This bike is super clean and ready to ride. Completely serviced and detailed. New fork seals, new clutch spring and friction plates, all fluids and filters changed, new packing seals on front and rear brake calipers, new fuel lines, cleaned fuel components, new spark plugs. Four new OEM replacement turn signals. All work was done within last few months. I intended to keep this bike so I went through everything, it is in perfect order. All the chrome was polished, no rust. Stock exhaust, seats, and backrest. No tears, no dents, and only a small scratch on bottom corner of right saddlebag. Tires are in great shape. The odometer works perfectly, but may not reflect accurate mileage. It currently reads 24xx miles. I can only assume the previous owner unplugged it. Based on the brake and clutch wear, my best guess is no more than 25,000 - 30,000 miles if that, which is nothing for a Nomad. I've put about 800 miles on it since I've had it and there are no problems. I bought a newer Nomad so this one needs to go. Clear title in hand. $3500.00 located in Pineville, LA. For sale is a well-maintained 2002 Vulcan Nomad 1500 Fi...one that has show circuit pedigree and is NOW a 1600! Low mileage at 12,5XX. Not only did Kawasaki North America commission the custom paint and install the chrome pieces, they also had Dave Rollins at Thunder Mfg in Phoenix install their 95ci (1600cc) big bore kit along with custom cams, a power commander computer, a custom K&N air filter and a 2-1 high-flow exhaust. This bike dynos at 95hp/95lb/ft at the rear wheel! This BIG BORE KIT is a several thousand dollar procedure ($3K+) if you were to take a Vulcan Nomad to Thunder Mfg and have this done on your own (parts and labor, new cams, port and polish heads, etc.). The bike is now a 1600cc/95ci. Additionally, Kawasaki also installed a Vulcan Meanstreak front end for increased braking power (dual discs!), better handling shocks, etc. Bike also comes with aftermarket windshield, Mustang solo seat, Kawasaki hard bag liners, rear passenger floorboards, etc. Bike needs nothing! It has great tires. Rear shocks are BRAND NEW lowering shocks by Progressive. Wife is 5'5" and rode the bike with ease. Every light on the bike has been upgraded to bright LEDs, to include the headlight, mini tombstone-style taillight, etc. All upgrades done correctly (solder, shrinktube, turn signals flash at proper rate, etc.)Must have motorcycle endorsement and proof of insurance to test ride. Not in any hurry to sell. Clean title and ready to ride. Selling since family is growing. Price is firm in light of the thousands of upgrades on this bike. I'm selling my beautiful 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad VN1500 Motorcycle. I purchased this bike from the original owner seven years ago who I could tell it was his baby and has been mine ever since. It has only had Amsoil since day one. Do your research on engines that only run on Amsoil and then are dismantled later. The customizations done are enormous and all professional. $4000 estimated in chrome alone including highway bars/foot pegs, light bars/front chrome turn signals, chrome sissy bar/luggage rack, chrome saddle bag protectors, chrome fender guards, chrome master cylinder cover, chrome engine covers, chrome radiator shroud, chrome front brake caliper/disk covers, chrome detailed windshield/deflectors, etc... Too much to list... You would have to reference detailed photos.... The stock side fork key/ignition has been converted over to a Thunder brand top gas tank switch similar to what you would find on Harleys. The bike features a BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE Custom two tone Forest Green/Jade Green paint job complete with night green accent lighting brings out the chrome. The front brake chrome disk covers are accented by purple lights at night. I get compliments everywhere I go with this machine. Mechanically, valve work was done early on by professionals, catalytic converters were removed, and what appears to be about 6" Vance & Hines pipes, a cold air induction chrome Pro series hypercharger was installed which boosts horsepower considerably from stock. The bike also features throttle cruise control, a leather tank bra with a pocket, and a leather sissy bar bag. New sealed battery installed first week of June 2015. When this bike starts up it sounds like a high horsepower boat, runs like a sewing machine, purrs like a kitten, roars like a lion, and shows like a pageant queen. I'm Including a Kawasaki Service Manual for the bike, the stock ignition, stock chrome air cleaner, three outdoor covers, and various other parts. I hate to see her go but medical/financial reasons dictate sale although I will not entertain low-ball offers. No joy rides. I can meet you in a large parking lot for inspection. The bike has never been dumped and with all this chrome I want to keep it that way.
