Okay. Just like you, I know the chopper craze is over. However, if you think about it, what that will do will be to eliminate all the half-done amateur bikes, the wannabes, the homebuilts, the tacky overdone "theme bikes," and all the other custom bikes of low or dubious quality. What will survive will be the beautiful sculptural pieces of rolling art like the motorcycle I have listed here. This particular bike has a story. It was bought from the manufacturer, Precious Metals Customs in Woodstock, GA, by Lynn Jones of Lynnco Custom Cycles in Cleveland, TN, with the intent of donating it as a fund-raiser for the Mary Ellen Locher Foundation of Chattanooga. The exquisite paint and pinstriping were done by Chris Cruz Artistry of DeLand, FL. The motor is a completely polished 100 ci Ultima, transmission is a polished Baker 6-speed, and forks are by American Suspension. It has a 3-inch belt primary drive, all chrome. The oil tank is hidden under the transmission and the rear brake is a drilled disc located on the transmission countershaft. It has a 300-series rear tire and the three-spoke wheels are beautifully chromed. Every weld on the frame is perfectly smoothed giving the appearance that is was molded out of one continuous piece of tubing. All lines and wiring are routed internally through the frame or fork tubes giving is an extremely clean appearance. There are no handlebar controls and no speedometer or tachometer. Since there is no speedometer, I do not know the mileage, but it is obviously very low. I listed 1000 miles in this ad as I was forced to enter a number by eBay. The motorcycle was given away as the grand prize of a fundraising raffle for the Foundation at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival in 2007. The Steve Miller Band was the headline act that year, so Steve Miller signed the tank in gold. Small paint drops were added to symbolize the fireworks at the festival and the signature was clear-coated along with the rest of the paint. The bike was named The Eagle by Lynnco after the famous Steve Miller Band song and the eagle heads Cruz painted on the sides of the tank. I cannot stress enough the quality of the this bike. The paint is absolutely gorgeous. The chrome is flawless. It is truly a piece of rolling sculpture that looks as though it belongs in a museum. It is completely rideable and ready to go right now. It has been ridden in the past, so it is not absolutely perfect, but it is very nearly so. I really need to sell it and I will happily consider any and all cash offers or partial or even trades. I did not win this bike. I am the third owner and got it in a trade myself. Any trade offer you present will be considered and I will respond to it. I will not simply ignore offers like so many people tend to do these days. I appreciate your interest and you will hear back from me! Thank you for looking and please contact me with any questions or offers.

I was told the bike was built by Arlen Ness when I got it. The front end and tank definately have his style from the 70,s, but after talking to several collectors the rear end is in question, still looking for original photos. I did cut the rear fender and the struts also adjusting the seat position, planning to put the bobber seat on the bike eventually. The original parts pictured where on the bike. I have been working and riding this bike for about 3 years. lt has new clutch, pipes, battery and forward controls. It has been tuned recently and runs like a banchee. Many extra parts are included, tank, bags, pipes, lights ect. Mileage is a guess. The spare parts pictured are included in the sale. Bike is located in Santa Cruz and is for sale locally also.

The bike is available to see in Santa Cruz, CA, and I'm not interested in trades or anything except a straight cash sale at this heavily discounted price.

1994 BMW R 1100 RS, Details: - 1994 BMW R1100RS - Clean title in my name (Not branded or salvaged) - Needs current CA registration (Im getting it) - Metzler Roadtec Z6 Sport Touring Tires (Rear and front have only 1500 miles, plenty of tread left) - Full tune up performed at approx 30k including: K&N filter replacement, valve adjustment, final drive oil change, gear oil change, brake fluid flush, and spark plugs replaced/gapped. - Detachable clean BMW hard bags/cases keyed to bike that will fit a full face helmet (See Pics) - Hepco Baker rear rack with rear seat rest installed (Very sturdy) - Shorter stock BMW windshield (adjustable) - New sealed battery kept on trickle charger (approx 2 months old) -Trickle charger included - Full factory manual in PDF and BMW rider's manual included - Original complete BMW tool kit (include BMW OEM tire repair kit) - BMW heated grips (two settings) - BMW power outlet (great for heated vest and/or clothing and trickle charger) - Nylon Head guards installed to protect from scrapes (one needs replacement) - BMW helmet lock keyed to bike - BMW center stand as well as side stand - Approx: 38,xxx miles (Nothing for a BMW, as these bikes go well over 100k with zero problems) I've been riding for over 53 years and have owned a number of different size/style bikes ranging from 250cc -- 1800cc. A surgery last year requires sale (sadly). This R1100RS is by far the most versatile bike I've ever owned. It's got a very comfy and secure upright or semi cafe seating position depending on how you adjust it (new professional front seat (made with marine grade naugahyde and treated with UV protective conditioner), combined with plenty of power and very responsive handling. This bike runs like a scaulded snake or purrs along quietly for as long as you want to stay on it. The detachable BMW bags, make it great for touring or just running a quick errand like going for groceries. The rear deck (fitted for trunk) provides a backrest for a passenger. The ABS sometimes doesn't sync front and back correctly which requires a shutdown to re synchronize so no check lights come on if you want. Getting it fixed was never a priority for me as it didn't add a anything to the value of the bike according to kbb.com. The brakes are excellent on this bike and ABS seems to function as is. Stops on a dime This bike has a very classic look and I get loads of compliments on it, as it literally looks less than 3 years old. This bike has lived in a garage up until two years ago and has been covered since. You will not be remotely disappointed with any aspect of this bike. It's ready for a weekend/cross-country ride or a spin to Alice's. $3995 Cash Only. (Santa Cruz delivery available, feeling pretty firm about this price) Test rides require a valid MC license and full asking price in cash in hand, no except $3,995.00

Steve McQueen's very first Husqvarna. This bike was originally raced by Motocross World Champion Bengt Aberg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengt_%C3%85berg I was told by former owner that McQueen went to Santa Cruz, CA to watch a MX race and after Bengt Aberg won the race McQueen bought the bike on the spot. Up to that point McQueen had been racing Triumphs, but this bike here for sale would change that. This bike started his passion for the Husqvarna brand, as you may have seen him riding them on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, in the movie On Any Sunday, and several other publications and pictures easily found online. McQueen helped Husqvarna become the huge success it was during the late 60's and early 70's. So this bike is very special and unique. He may have had many motorcycles, but none has the history and importance of this one. All paperwork proving it's provenance, related to both Steve McQueen and Bengt Aberg is part of this sale. Steve McQueen's motorcycle sold at auction last month for $775,000. http://money.cnn.com/2015/03/23/luxury/mcqueen-motorcycle/index.html His cars are selling for $10M +. http://www.latimes.com/business/autos/la-fi-hy-2014-pebble-beach-mcqueen-ferrari-sold-20140812-story.html http://jalopnik.com/this-is-how-you-exercise-steve-mcqueens-30-million-jag-1660363671 One of his racing suits sold last year for $984,000!! http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2011/12/21/records-indeed-steve-mcqueen-le-mans-suit-sells-for-984000/ This bike is a bargain and there's no reason not to expect its value to have a huge increase in the near future.
