This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. Stored in heated garage.  This is an assembled title motorcycle. 2002 model year. Dyna series based. Some of the bikes highlights are Daytec Frame, S&S Superstock 88 cubic inch evo engine. Super G carb. West coast choppers pipes and air cleaner. Ive included a 2 page parts breakdown minus the dual disc front wheel.  I swaped the dual disc wheel to another bike.  The bike runs and rides fine. Lots of power.  The speedometer drive for the front wheel is missing. It was on the dual disc wheel. I haven’t ridden it more than up and down the street since the swap. And the dash lights and the tach will need wired up.  Bike comes with the Saddleman seat shown and a Harley pillow seat and passenger backrest. Hello, I have here a 1982 Yamaha XJ550 Seca (XJ550R) that is very close to fully restored condition. I've been slowly restoring it for 3 years now. This is the second one of these I've owned. I bought this one with a salvage title and it is was inspected and cleared last summer. It was supposedly dumped on the right side according to sales listing from when I bought it, but it either didn't do much damage or was repaired before I got it because all I had to replace was the brake lever and turn signal. It's got dual exhaust and a 6-speed transmission. I rebuilt the front forks in 2012. It was professionally repainted last summer and the guy did an excellent job. The tank emblems are NOS and were quite pricey. Brand new mirrors installed last month and brand new intake boots installed 3 weeks ago. New Uni air filters last summer. Changed the oil recently and it runs like a champ! Tires are in near new condition. Front brakes maybe have about 1000 miles on them, and the rear shoes about 100 miles. Comes with a box of some spare parts, but nothing fancy. The waterproof and UV resistant cover (pictured) is included with the sale. I also have an entire Haynes repair manual printed out in a binder and an additional CD that has what appears to be all of the Yamaha factory service manuals/specs/data for this bike, very helpful! Has some minor cosmetic flaws, which are pictured. The fuses were re-wired by the previous owner, but everything works like it should so I haven't bothered with it. For Sale: Private Owner’s 2017 Harley Davidson Road King, only 37 original miles, yes 37. New Milwaukee 8 engine with OEM Factory Installed Sreamin Eagle Stage III kit (see performance chart). I bought it brand new last fall (October, 2016). I purchased 5 year, transferrable, unlimited mileage factory warranty. The warranty also covers the Stage III performance upgrade, as they installed within first two months. Also added: Anti-lock braking system (ABS) Keyless Security FOB. Day-Maker Headlamp Day-Maker Fog Lamps Drivers Back Rest, articulating and adjustable, while riding (this feature will be the envy of every other rider. You will be able to ride forever.) Harley Davidson Foot Pegs Power Outlet Accessory in saddlebag I have sold on eBay before, but it’s been quite a while, so forgive my inexperience. Here is the basics: I paid just under $20,000.00 for bike, not including taxes, etc.. I then paid $1700.00 for 5 year extended warranty, which is transferrable. I paid $4,545.00 for Screamin Eagle Stage III kit. Paid $1,500.00 for Day-Maker headlamps and installation. $150.00 for Power outlet Accy. I also bought and will throw in the Harley Davidson bike cover. The bike is absolutely beautiful.. perfect as the day purchased. I rode it a bit around the countryside here in Texas, but the bulk of the 37 miles were put on, I believe while Harley was tuning up Stage III installation. So, all that being written: I have approximately $27,895.00, plus taxes, dealer prep, cover, etc… I will sell bike, but am not planning to give it away. Why selling??? I love this bike and actually owned a 2015 Road King prior to this.. I injured my right cornea, following Lasik surgery and am worried that riding may cause additional eye trouble.. Definitely an eye catching Big Dog and is extremely unique! I haven't seen any like this one! The Highly Desirable Beautiful Gloss Black Base Paint Job with Metallic Red Scallop Accents & White Pin-Striping is in great condition! I'm definitely a fan! The under carriage of the frame has some very light scrapes from entering a driveway. I encounter this on almost every Big Dog Motorcycle that I acquire because the motorcycles sit so low to the ground. The front fender is in great shape with one small pin tip sized chip on the rear side of the front fender. The gas tank is in good shape with the exception of one light 1/2" sized hairline scratch midway through the tank on the top right side. There are also some light hairline scratches where the gas tank meets up with the front of the seat. The rear fender has some light surface scratching from having a two up seat installed at some time & point. The most notable is a series of three 1/2" sized hairline scratches next to the right sissy bar strut plug. There are some light surface scratches throughout the bike from being dusted off with a dust cloth. Overall the paint is in great condition! A few of the engine bolts have some light rust stains from getting moisture on them & not being immediately wiped off. The chrome on the outside front forks has about three 1/2" gouges on the left & right fork. The front fork bolt on brace that connects the left & right fork has some light pitting & can be replaced rather easily. The chrome on the front foot forward controls & pegs have some light pit marks. The rear passenger peg mounts & pegs have some light blemishes in the chrome with some light pit marks. The rear drive pulley has some light pit marks & scratching in the chrome.The rear wheel has some light pitting on the inner edges by the spokes of the wheel. Very hard to notice, unless you are looking at it closely. The pitting isn't terrible, but I want to disclose as much as possible. I would also be more than happy to email you close up photos of the affected areas. The SuperTrapp Exhaust System is in good shape with some light surface scratches from getting on & off of the bike. The front Avon tire has approximately 50% of tread remaining with some weather cracking on the tire. The rear Avon tire has approximately 50% tread remaining. The bike comes with one key. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure that I disclose as much as possible. The bike runs great and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! The under carriage of the bike has some light scrapes on the bottom of the frame. This is very common on the Big Dog Motorcycles because they sit so low to the ground. The back side of the front fender has a scuff mark approximately 3/4" tall & 1/4" wide. The gas tank is in great shape, but does have two very small pin point chips where the gas tank meets the seat. The gas cap has some blemishes from being set down on the chrome a few times while being refueled. The rear fender is in great shape, but does have two spots on the rear edge of the fender that have rock chips that have been touched up with black touch up paint. One is bigger than the other. The front forward control pegs have some very light oxidation in between the rubber. The left side front rider peg has a light scuff on the bottom of the peg from dragging on a turn. The rear passenger pegs are in great shape & look like they have hardly been used. The Polished Billet on the hand controls, forward foot controls, & wheels are in great shape & have clearly been polished on a regular basis. The Vance & Hines exhaust system is in great shape, but does have one very light ding on the top side of the pipes towards the rear portion of the exhaust system. The bike was acquired from the original owner & has been taken extremely great care of. The bike has been stored in a heated garage since the day it rolled off the showroom floor. The front & rear tire have approximately 60% tread remaining with no weather cracking. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure I disclose as much as possible.
