This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. Ok here we go! This bike started its life as a 1995 Buell S2 Thunderbolt with the Harley 1200cc Sportster engine, from there I built a drop seat hardtail chopper using mostly all parts from Buell other then the frame ,front end and plastic's. Then! I had another Idea to make it into a Custom Trike. I have the paper work " Manufacturer's Statement of Origin" (MSO) for Registration Requirements for Trike Frame. The engine ran great when it was in the drop seat chopper, its a 1200cc with Dynatek 2000i Ignition Module and Coil with a S&S Shorty "E" Carb. The Frame has a 45 degree rake with 4+ over DNA Springer Front End with Buell Thunderbolt Front wheel. The rear wheels are both 200 Buell wheel, which you can mount any wheel you like there is plenty of room I was even thinking to run car tires on the rims. YOU will need to Finish this bike meaning it will need to be rewired ( will come with almost all of the wire you will need) Bars, controls headlight are all wired up, you will just need to run wire to the rear of frame for you lights. There is a custom made fuse box and battery box all setup that mount on frame. The rear axle spacers need to be cut to size ( all spacers needed come with bike). Everything comes bike to put it back together other then a rear brake line and some fitting and hose's for oil tank. You will also need to make a tag holder I can help with some missing small parts and hardware to put it together, I no long have the time, but I have to time to answer all your questions and take more pic's if needed. I just took notice that the handlebars in pic's are for mockup and come with the bike, but I also have the other one that have the controls and headlight on and wired up through bars that aren't shown in the pic's, I will email pic's if needed...Thanks Please take note, I "DO NOT" have a Title for this bike. I have the MSO for the frame, and all paper work on every part I needed for its build. I have the Title for the Buell S2 Thunderbolt bike but thats for numbers on frame and not engine. So to get this on the street you will have to do the paper work for your own state, or whatever you need to do. The frame is an All Tubular Frame Professtionally Welded on a Car Rotisserie. The Body is All Hand Formed Sheet Metal and has been skim coated, rough sanded, primed and sealed. This trike features 18" Chrome Wheels with the back being a Custom Built Rim built to hold the Mickey Thompson 22" Wide Street Drag Radial. It is chain driven and geared with a 54T Rear Sprocket and 14T Front. The motor is a 2004 GSXR 1000 fitted with a T3/T4 Turbo fully plumbed with 2" Aluminum Tubing with Intercooler and Blowoff Valve. It has a custom built plenum. This is a Right Side Drive only to make it more unique. Shifting is a simply 1 Back and 5 Up. This does not have a Reverse Mechanism but one was in the plans to be done and can be simply achieved using a Starter Motor from a Car. This Trike does feature a Full Audio/Video System featuring 2 - 15" Monitors placed behind the Driver and Passenger Seats made into the Body. Like virtually all hard working, blue collar car guys, Jim respected Earnhardt's talent, virtues and will to succeed. And, after spending significant time piloting his own open-wheel modified, he especially admired Dale's tenacity and skill. In 1998, Jim was present as The Intimidator clenched his milestone Daytona 500 victory. In 2001, he shared the heartbreak of NASCAR losing its biggest and brightest star. And, in 2004, when his wife mentioned the long-planned tribute, he began assembling this award winning, 1 of 1 chopper. While most professional motorcycles are standardized, mass-produced packages that lack the intensity and attention to detail of grassroots art, true customs maintain a level of style and authenticity that can be tweaked and massaged to create an individual masterpiece. The product of a five month build, this awesome 'Performance Barn' chopper features traditionally sculpted sheetmetal that's bathed in a familiar House of Kolor basecoat. When that clean pigment dried, a dynamic theme of success, family and gratitude was ignited at its forks, fueled through its tank and sealed on its fender by high quality PPG clear. And that rugged sheen reflects a glossy, wet-look shine that, thanks to skilled work by Ed Head Graphics of Des Moines, Iowa, makes people stop, turn and stare! On the surface, this show stopping chopper is an incredible tribute to one tough customer. In practice, it's Jim's way of saying thanks to many respected peers, as every piece of the bike's world class hardware was hand selected based on character and merit. Up front, a Perse Performance fork centers a Paul Yaffe fender between an Arlen Ness headlight, a 21-inch Carriage Works wheel and an MH90-21 Avon Venom X tire. At the side of that wheel, a high quality Performance Machine brake system utilizes braided Goodridge lines to squeeze a polished, dual-piston caliper around a giant, drilled rotor. Above that caliper, chrome Paul Yaffe handle bars hang stylish Arlen Ness mirrors in front of slick Performance Machine Renthals. Behind those grips, the bike's smooth, Softail frame cradles a highly detailed RevTech V-twin that mixes a polished casing with a classic, instantly recognizable sound. At the back of that engine, a custom PB Choppers primary cover hangs between a full set of Paul Yaffe pegs and a custom PB Choppers tail light. Above that light, a Jesse James fuel tank anchors a comfy Danny Gray seat in front of a PB Choppers fender. And below that fender, a second Performance Machine disc hovers next to a 250/40R18 Avon Venom R that spins around a second Carriage Works wheel. The bike's awesome bling is augmented by a 110 cubic inch RevTech V-Twin which utilizes Crane Hi-4 ignition, RevTech roller rockers, forged 4340 rods and an Andrews .560 cam to twist 115 horsepower into 120 lb./ft. of torque. At the top of the polished block, a clever 'steering wheel motor mount' splits the difference between quality Taylor plug wires and sleek chrome rocker boxes that were specifically chosen for this build. On the right side of the frame, a familiar Mikuni carburetor slurps wind through a snazzy Force One air cleaner. Below that carb, chrome rod covers lead the eye to a polished PB Choppers oil tank, a "RevTech" branded cam cover and Arlen Ness Shotgun pipes. At the front of the bike, a Perse Performance fork hangs a fantastic Arlen Ness headlight above a polished, 21-inch Xtreme Machine wheel and MH90-21 Avon Venom-X tire. At the side of that wheel, a high quality Hawg Halters brake system squeezes a polished, dual-piston caliper around a giant, drilled rotor. Above that caliper, chrome PBC handle bars hang stylish Paul Yaffe Originals mirrors in front of slick Arlen Ness hand controls. Behind those controls, the bike's smooth, hard tail frame cradles a highly detailed S&S V-twin that mixes a polished casing with a classic, instantly recognizable sound. At the back of that engine, an Independent outer primary hangs a full set of Independent pegs in front of a ProFab Metal Werks tail light. Above that tail light, a sinuous fuel tank anchors a wide PBC seat in front of a bobbed rear fender. And below that fender, a second Hawg Halter disc hovers next to a 300/35R18 Avon Venom R that spins around a second Xtreme Machine wheel. The heart of this awesome creation is a 96 cubic inch S&S V-twin that utilizes Crane Hi-4 ignition, CNC-ported heads, forged rocker arms, a full set of stainless valves and forged flat top pistons to create gobs of reliable power. Founded in 1958, S&S Cycles is one of the biggest and most trusted motorcycle motivators in the world, and this chopper's fully sorted mill performs every bit as good as it looks! At the top of the highly polished block, a stylish PBC coil cover splits the difference between traditional chrome rocker boxes. On the right side of the frame, a familiar S&S Shorty slurps wind through a custom Arlen Ness air cleaner. Below that carb, chrome rod covers lead the eye to polished Grumpy's Customs pipes, a compact Independent oil tank and a standard S&S cam cover. That top notch hardware rolls on a rigid PBC hard tail frame, which mixes a 6-inch stretch with a 40 degree rake. And the V-twin's power flows through a show-polished Baker 6-speed that provides solid shifts and reliable cruising. Eventually dubbed "Black Cherry" because of its stunning paint, this striking chopper has big fans in all the right places.
