Hagerty Price Guide History - (1953-1964) Willys CJ-3B "Universal"CJ-3B Production Total: 196,000 (155,494 assembled in the U.S.)(Public sales end in 1964 as far as we can tell - however CJ-3Bs were still available for commercial / military markets until 1968) The Universal Jeep CJ-3B was first produced by Willys-Overland in 1953, following closely in the footsteps of it’s 1/4 ton predecessors, the CJ-2A and CJ-3A, civilian models mostly targeted to agricultural and industrial applications. With the close of WWII, Willys-Overland began to promote the CJs as civilian models that stretched beyond the scope of the militarized MB, pitched as “all-purpose” vehicles in ads of the time, first with the CJ-2A in 1945, followed by an updated but still very similar version (CJ-3A) from 1949 - 1953, and then with the more significantly modified CJ-3B from 1953-1964. In the same year that the CJ-3B was introduced, Willys-Overland was sold to the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, who adopted the Willys Motors name until 1964. **** LATEST UPDATE: The WINDSHIELD was relocated forward for a much more accurate look!!! The Windshield and upper frame was cut and moved forward and screwed down (SEE ALL THE NEW PICS!). The glass was cracked in the process so it will have to be replaced (about $100 plus resizing and installation) and then the frame can be completed/welded down. THE LOOK IS NOW COMPLETE!!!! ************ UPDATE: THE DOORS NOW WORK!! *********** This Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Replica MUSCLE Kit Car is Running and Driving!!! VIDEO BELOW (the red car is the donor car before transformation, and the black car is the same car after being transformed and before the Gold Chrome Wrap was applied)!!! Youtube link: http://youtu.be/gDxN9nsHzc8 It shows the car driving and BURNING RUBBER!!! Please note that the thin and light fiberglass pieces have no gelcoat and need a lot of work. The car has been painted flat black and scrap Gold Chrome Wrap applied, but if you want a show car finish, then remove the Gold Wrap and the entire car needs to be skimmed with bondo or filler putty and then sanded smooth (using a scrap panel and scrap chrome wrap, some of the last pics show steps to smoothing out the panels - spread, sand, and stick). Then the New Silver Mirror Chrome Wrap Roll (which is included shown in the pic, not Gold color) can be applied or the car can be painted ( It can be wrapped in a few days, I can give the new owner links to videos that show how to easily do it, or pay a local car vinyl signs wrap shop about $200 to do it for you). This car is based on a 1997 Firebird with a HUGE 3.8 liter 3800 Series 2 V6 (waaay more powerful than any stock Fiero V-6! And about 10 years newer!) that feels like a V-8 due to all the removed donor car body panels (see the video of it spinning the tires and burning rubber!). The heater and AC blow, but not hot/cold. It has an Automatic Transmission and the engine runs very strong at 174,000 miles. And the engine bay is clean, which leads me to believe the engine has been repaired or replaced recently, but I have no proof of that. The seats have covers since they are torn, so you may want to get a nice pair of racing seats that can be bought on ebay for $220 delivered! The interior has cracks and holes and missing pieces that could be bought cheaply on ebay. The car springs have been cut but you could add coilovers if you want a better ride. THE DOORS ARE NOW FUNCTIONAL (see picture). You could even have the doors open upwards if you install $200 Universal Lambo Door Hinges from ebay. The gas fill is currently in the stock location and can be filled through the bat wing area using an included extension. The fiberglass pieces (based on the more accurate G28 / Murci 2) have been mounted with screws. The donor car headlights and aftermarket tail lights, are not installed but are included (or you can use ebay $100 Nissan Xterra Tail lights or Kia Soul Tail lights mounted sideways). You can grinder cut $25 smoke plexiglass and cover the headlights and taillights. The grills can be made out of $10 perforated or expanded sheet metal from Home Depot and grinder cut to size. The front clip is removable for full access to the engine compartment. The WINDSHIELD was relocated forward for a much more accurate look (SEE ALL THE NEW PICS! p.s. the 2 interior pics were taken before the windshield was relocated). You can leave the rear view mirrors as they are or relocated them forward as well. Or put some inexpensive ebay aftermarket rear view mirrors. This is a 2007 BMW R1200RT Blue motorcycle, ABS, automatic stability control (ASC) and electronic suspension adjustable (ESA) control, tire pressure sensors, on-board computer, heated grips and seats, power windshield. Factory windshield, engine protection bars with highway pegs, BMW 49-liter top bag painted to match, side bags, fork lights. LED side lights front and rear with an attention getter KnightriderZ auxiliary tail/break light that strobes 3 of the 21 LED lights back and forth for better visibility and all 21 flash 10 times for braking before going solid. Handlebar bar-back/risers and peg lowering kits, larger side-stand foot with foot extension for soft earth and easier lowering. Just over 97,000 miles, maintained at BMW Grand Rapids. Good Tires. Black reflective rear appliqués and white reflective strip so with the LED lights the bike is very visible at night. Front and rear electric outlets. Only recall was to change the aluminum rear wheel retaining ring to a steel retaining ring to prevent cracks in the aluminum. Had rear the drive shaft universal joint fail several years ago at 75 mph and bike was a very stable safe drive to the side of the road. Repaired at BMW of Grand Rapids. Pigtail connected to battery for trickle charger. Excellent condition, great ride for short or long distance and very reliable and safe. I like to be seen thus the extra lights and reflective tape.
