TIMS has a 1978 yamaha sr 500 for sale--weve raced it in the ahrma series this year but im going to another class and get another bike so i dont need this one anymore--we took 5th place at nola in the sound of singles 3 class in march--this bike has all the goodies needed for a competitive race bike--it has a wiseco hi compression 570 piston,carillo rod,ported head,oversize valves-it also has a modified frame more conducive for racing,tz wheels,fzr 600 front end with racetec internals,mikuni flat slide carb,redwing shocks,carbon fenders front and rear--it also has ebc rotors with brembo calipers and a pvl ignition that doesnt require a battery to run-it also has a steering damper,custom rear sets and a new kerker exhaust cannister-the pics show it 2 ways, one for sound of singles 3 and the other(last 3 pics) for superbike lightweight class--the tubular handle bar set up takes about 30-45 minutes to change so you could theoretically race it in sos 3 and sblw on the same day--the bike needs nothing but a rider and is ready to race again--TIMS will assist in shipping at new owners expense--this is a no reserve auction so dont miss out on this ready to race yamaha---it can be converted to street use but it will need a battery and alternator set up to drive any lights your laws in your state will require

I can take a video of the bike running and post if interested. I know i am probably missing something, so feel free to ask! The Bad: Battery is fine - i have used it all year, but it is not the strongest. I have always gotten the bike to start without charging the battery on a trickle, but you may want a new battery next season. There is a dent in the left side of the gas tank - previous owner stated it was dropped in the garage. See the photos. Also shown in the photos - the headlight has a small crack. Light still works fine! I have ridden like this since i purchased it. Other Info: Motorcycle is being sold As-Is. No warranty and no guarantees. On a whim, they designed and built a small dirt bike for one of their kart racing customers. In 1963 the Blendzall company commissioned Van Tech to produce a 100cc race bike for one of their riders. The bike they created swept the class that year solidifying the VanTichelt’s name as one of the best in the biz. Motoexotica is pleased to present this extremely rare 1966 Honda CB160 road racing motorcycle which features a 161cc four stroke twin cylinder engine and a Van Tech racing frame. Bike is also equipped with 4 speed transmission, 24 mm carburetors, ARD magneto ignition, Ceriani road race forks, MJB shocks, CR 93 RR tank and seat, air actuated shifter, full safety wiring, and more.
