With that being said: For sale: a very stock CL450 1969 Please scroll down for pictures there are a ton. I don't want any trouble with these bikes. This bike looks very clean and very original. There is some slight rash on the right side signal and clutch lever. Seat is over-stuffed, other than that this one is super clean. The clear has yellowed on the engine. I am pretty sure this is stock, the mileage looks correct - also foot pegs show little wear, pipe is perfect very nice chome all over on this bike - I hooked a jumper battery and it fired right up. Restored using NOS Honda Genuine Parts where needed. Fuel tank was split, sandblasted, welded back together, then coated inside with the patented Renu process, sealing out rust and corrosion. We did not "lock in" loose rust. The outside of the fuel tank was professionally painted the OEM silver color using a base-coat/clear-coat process. The frame is the original finish with some minor deflects. The original chrome in very nice condition for forty plus years old. Original engine has great compression and runs well. Original exhaust is rust free and chrome is in excellent condition. All electrical items work as designed - head light (both beams), brake lights, turn signals, speedometer lights, neutral light, high beam indicator light, turn signal indicator light and horn. Up for sale is my 1967 Honda CL77 Scrambler 300 with the legendary 305 twin cylinder engine.This bike was and is beyond cool. It bleeds nostalgia. It was the dual sport version of the CB and featured a stronger frame with higher ground clearance and upswept dual exhaust. It was clad with knobby tires and long travel suspension. This bike conjures up images of James Dean and Elvis Presley; and the naked girl riding in circles around Kowalski in the movie Vanishing Point.This is a survivor bike in very good operating and cosmetic condition. It has less than 8400 original miles. It is complete and and it starts right up, shifts smooth and stops as it should. It has had a recent tune up including carb service, new air filters and intake boots, spark plugs and oil service. The front shocks were overhauled and resealed. The tank was cleaned and resealed. It has brand new tires (not shown in these photos). There is a little surface rust on the rear chrome fender and on the lower handlebar but nothing to apologize for on this great riding bike. Vintage bikes are commanding lots of attention and the 305 Scramblers are as hot as they come.I am the third owner. The original owner's California title was lost and was subsequently sold on bills of sale. Title searches in California and Texas came up clean. The pictures tell the rest of the story. 1966 Honda 305 Scrambler. Vintage original time capsule. Only 6285 original miles. You are buying a piece of motorcycle history. This Honda CL77 has been in a private collection since 1968!!! The bike has every single original component on it from 1966. That's right, a completely original 305 Scrambler. VIN: CL771012113 The bike has the original engine, frame, all body work, seat, bars, cables, headlight/speedo, fenders. The bike's odometer reads the actual miles. This is a rare 1966 model that came with a chrome front fender. Original air filters, rubber boots, wheels, tires, controls. The bike has a set of cushy rubber grips which were what we all put on these bikes back in the day. They are so comfortable. This 305 has the original exhaust, including the hard to find original muffler that is connected with the 2 rubber seals. This bike even has the original steering shock stabilizer unit and the original horn!!! This Scrambler even has the original slotted chain guard!! Un-restored, the bike was painted burgundy in 1968 and retains that paint since 1968. The bike has the original rims, original spokes. CLEAR AND CLEAN TITLE READY TO TRANSFER. The bike has been stored in a heated, climate controlled Museum, with all fuel drained for 1 year. Before that, in 2014, the bike was running, riding and driving . So, you will want to probably flush the tank out first, and then put a new battery in it. I see no reason why it should not run fine at that point. These 305 Scramblers are becoming more and more difficult to find and in original condition, almost impossible to find anymore. Everything on the bike works as of this date. This is a 50 year old vehicle and has never been restored, thus, it has the patina one would want to find on an original bike from this era. I was born in 1959 and have owned 15 305 Scramblers and I always have found these bikes to be one of the coolest motorcycles ever produced. Up for bid from my vintage collection is this great looking and running CL100. I have spent countless hours on eBay purchasing dozens of parts to restore this 43 year old, low miles, little gem. The chrome shines nicely and almost all of the critical electronics, bulbs, locks, keys, ignition, controls, mirrors, rubber mounts and boots, plastics, lenses, and tires have been replaced. the carb and front forks have been rebuilt, fluids changed, ignition timed, and all internal engine adjustments were performed at a professional motorcycle shop. The exhaust is solid, shines, and is quiet. Only item yet to be restored is the tank but everything operates as it did originally. I do not have the tool kit. This should be a dependable and fun motorcycle to ride for many more years. Please note that I have not done a frame-off full restoration so you can expect to see some flaws. This Honda CL72 250 Scrambler was meticulously restored by its prior owner. It was my intention to license/title and ride it, but it is so nice that it should go to a private collector or a museum. The motorcycle has never been ridden since its restoration. It was started once on the previous owner on its center stand. He indicated the motor ran fine and that the transmission shifted fine and the motor ran good. I too recently started it on its center stand and the motor ran fine without any unusual noises, misfiring, or stalling. The Honda has many NOS parts including brake pads, spokes, spokes, tank pads, muffler guards, alternator cover, speedometer and other miscellaneous parts. All chrome parts have been professionally resurfaced and are in excellent condition. The front and rear fenders are also NOS and have been powder coated. The fuel tank and side covers have been powder coated also. The tank has a few dings in it that were not noticed prior to its restoration. The original gas cap also has a ding in it. This exquisite Honda was built from the ground-up. The frame and all other black parts were powder coated. The rims and tires (Cheg Shin) are in like new excellent condition. The motor was totally rebuilt by a well-known vintage Honda Mechanic. The Honda looks new with the exception of the dings on the fuel tank and cap as noted. The Honda needs some final sorting out to ride if you wish. The wiring is intact, but needs to be connected properly for headlight, tail and brake lamps to work properly. Also, the original horn (included) needs to be installed. The Honda will be sold with a Bill of Sale. The prior owner gave me a Title (shows a prior owner and a transferred owner) that was originally issued by the State of Illinois. The Frame number is CL72-1104932 which matches the number on the Title and the Engine number is CL-721105011. I will include the Title with the Bill of Sale and make a copy of it available to any interested bidder prior to the close of the Ebay auction. I have not licensed/titled the motorcycle in my name and I cannot guarantee that you will be able to title it. It is sold as is, where is, without any guarantees of operational status or title. You are welcome to inspect it prior to sale. Shipping (if necessary) is the responsibility of the Buyer. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required at the close of the auction. The balance is due within 3 days in the form of cash, cashier's check or wire transfer. The Honda will not be released until my Bank confirms final payment. No expense was spared to restore this beautiful motorcycle. It needs to find a rightful and good home where it can be preserved and enjoyed for now and posterity.
