I have a 1985 Yamaha FJ1100 for sale. This is a fantastic bike and is quite powerful. I believe it is around 125 HP. It's air-cooled, big, and full of torque. Really slams past 5500 rpm. Runs great! The Pichler fairing on this bike alone could probably bring in around 900-1000 dollars on eBay. If you google it you will see that it is almost impossibly rare. Being an FJ fan for years (I've had an FJ600 and another FJ1100) I had never seen one until I found this gem. When I got it, it had been sitting and needed some carb work and a couple other things. I brought it to Wrench-My-Ride in Santa Clara because they like to work on older classic bikes and was told by their lead tech that this was one of the best examples of an old bike he'd ever come across. The bike starts right up and idles with an amazing amount of smoothness. It's really quite docile at low speeds and is about as comfortable as any cruiser you could find, while still being on par with a 1st Gen Vmax or even a modern 600 in speed. I believe the 1/4 mile record for these bikes was mid 10's, so it's no slouch. This particular bike has DEFINITELY been lowered. It would be fantastic for a shorter rider, as it's one of the lowest bikes I've come across... comparable to my girlfriend's lowered Honda CB300f.. I would guess the seat height is no heigher than 30.5" right now as-is. You do sacrifice a tiny bit of lean angle with the full fairing and this lower setup, but this is more of a sport touring bike, anyway... and it will still hit the mountain corners just fine. There are a couple scratches and paint chips as would be expected on a bike this age, but overall it's in great condition. You can stop by and see many examples of these bikes that have gone well over 100k miles, so this engine at 6000 (currently riding it off and on to work when I'm not on my ZX14, so it will go up a little) is just broken in. It also has a brand new air filter and I just had the oil changed less than 150 miles ago, so all it needs is a rider. Other info: Compression after warming up was all within 155-165 psi on each cylinder. A little lower when cold, but it warms up quick. There is sometimes a little smoke when first warming up.. the mechanic said it was nothing to worry about and was either the seafoam I poured in the tank before taking it to him for the carb work or possibly the valve gaskets being a bit old on cold starts. Typically only happens if you let it sit for a week between rides, though. Doesn't smoke or burn any oil after 1 minutes of running when it does this, though.I'm asking 2200 obo. I know how CL can be, so I'm open to offers. Also open to a trade for an enduro/street legal dirt bike like an older Honda XL500 + cash, so let me know what you got. I already have a ZX14, otherwise I would keep this bike, but both are essentially sport touring machines and, while I LOVE FJ1100/1200's, there's just no sense in keeping both around.

Up for auction is my 1992 Yamaha FJ1200. I bought it in May 2014 as a long distance sport tourer but unfortunately 6000 miles later the ergonomics have proven not to fit my 5'-8" frame well enough otherwise it would be a definite keeper. It is in excellent condition showing 18307 miles but currently has 18820 miles as I still ride it. Original condition with several RPM Performance updates (rpmracingca.com) including a front fork brace, spin-on oil filter conversion and bar risers. Also a complete carb overhaul by RPM Performance was done summer 2014. RPM is a huge supporter of the FJ1100/1200 community with loads of spares from Yamaha and custom products they have developed themselves like a custom rear shock and full exhaust system. They are also big into the Legends racing series which uses FJ engines in custom cars. Also included with the bike are Nelson-Rigg CL-855 touring saddle bags bought last summer, Renntek engine protection bars, Oxford heated grips, Corbin Gunfighter/Lady seat (last pic) and a LaminarLip over the stock windscreen. Pirelli Sport Demon Tires installed summer 2014 with plenty of tread. Some minor scratches on the left side from a 0 mph campground tipover, (see pics). This is the last generation of the FJ ending with the 1993 model year with the FJR1300 following. The 1200 evolved from the 1100 superbike of the early 80's into one of the highest rated sport tourers of its time. The last gen FJ has the largest fairing of all the FJs and has a rubber mounted engine which gives it a glass smooth ride. This bike really eats up the miles at any sane pace you desire. Hard to find one with this low mileage and this clean. Always garaged and ready to cover mile after mile. Title in hand. I cannot crate for shipping but I can deliver free within 75 miles or $1/mile above that. Otherwise buyer is responsible for shipping but I will assist as best I can. Call or text six 0 three 70 three 73 eight 2. Bike is sold as-is and may be removed from the auction as it is up for sale locally. Bid with confidence, I don't sell a lot online but I intend on keeping my 100% rating. Thanks for looking!
