For sale is my mint condition BMW R1100S ABS Light - all original - show room clean! There were only 150 of the Light version of the R1100S ABS made. What made them different was all black bike with blacked out engine / trans (not heads), Carbon Fiber body components (front fender, belly pan, head light surround, rear seat cover, rear shock cover, heel plates, etc), center stand delete (side stand only), upgraded suspension from the factory, steering stabilizer, wider rear wheel (5.5 inch), etc. This bike has been babied since new with getting only around 1k miles per year and living its life in doors and always out of any bad weather. There is NO other R1100S ABS Light that is this nice, let alone original. Recent work done to this bike was new tires, new battery and all fluids changed, valves checked, drive shaft and splines inspected and lubed. This bike is ready to ride across the country and back! With 15k miles, the boxer engine is not even broken in yet. Everything on this bike works as it should,ABS brakes, etc and rides like a dream. If you are looking for a BMW - this is the bike you want! Truly one of a kind in condition and care. Only reason for selling is my riding style is going more the way of adventure or sport touring. That being said, I would be willing to trade for a nice BMW GS, Vstrom, Tiger, etc or a sport touring bike. If your bike is worth less, I may take your bike and cash. It can't hurt to ask.

Hello :) I have 2002 BMW R1150RT for sale. Runs and rides great. Piedmont Red. Electronically controlled winshield is a fantastic option. Factory heated handgrips and driving lights (incorporated into the sides of the headlight (there are 4 lights in the headlight unit). 98,xxx+ miles (and rising, as I am still riding). Tires are decent Michelin Pilot Road 2s, front is better than rear. I would measure tread but there aren't grooves in the middle to measure, and that is where most of the wear takes place. Brand new fuel filter. I have never noticed it use any oil. No leaks or drips, etc (I have noticed the slightest dirtyness around the valve cover bolts, but very minor, just trying to be thorough). Paint is pretty decent; minor stone chips here-and-there as expected with miles. Minor (like zero-mile/hour) scuffs on the engine guards, saddle bags, and mirrors from what appears to be small tip-overs/bumping a garage while parking. I have only ridden the bike for about 1000 miles. I have never owned a mid-sized touring bike such as this, and am not sure it is the right bike for me (though I have owned an airhead and K-RS), so am listing it for sale. I was told by previous owner that it was (major?) serviced about 6,000 miles ago, not sure what that service all entailed. Also newer brake pads and oil/filter change. Some details since the prospective buyer probably wouldn't be able to ride before buying: The ABS has worked great while I have owned it. I read on some forums that it is supposed to make a whining noise while the brakes are applied, which it does. Also, I thought that the rear brake was quite grabby when I first rode it, but have since become totally acclimated to it; I'm not sure if that is normal or not, just mentioning it to be thorough in the description. Also in the interest of being thorough; the rear spring/shock is adjustable, and is adjusted to medium which is fine. The front is not adjustable and I though a little soft, but I am used to sportbikes so attributed that characteristic to the fact that it is a touring bike and designed to be that way. Again, this could be totally normal for this model but I am mentioning it just to be as thorough as possible in the description. PAYMENT is due in full within 7 days of the sale. I will only accept payment in cash or bank issued check. No credit card payments accepted. Check payment is ONLY accepted after the payment has cleared with my bank, which can take up to 10-14 business days to do. It's got a very comfy and secure upright or semi cafe seating position depending on how you adjust it (new professional front seat (made with marine grade naugahyde and treated with UV protective conditioner), combined with plenty of power and very responsive handling. This bike runs like a scaulded snake or purrs along quietly for as long as you want to stay on it. The detachable BMW bags, make it great for touring or just running a quick errand like going for groceries. The rear deck (fitted for trunk) provides a backrest for a passenger. The ABS sometimes doesn't sync front and back correctly which requires a shutdown to re synchronize so no check lights come on if you want. Getting it fixed was never a priority for me as it didn't add a anything to the value of the bike according to kbb.com. The brakes are excellent on this bike and ABS seems to function as is. Stops on a dime This bike has a very classic look and I get loads of compliments on it, as it literally looks less than 3 years old. This bike has lived in a garage up until two years ago and has been covered since. You will not be remotely disappointed with any aspect of this bike. Engine cut out at highway speeds and after a new starter motor and battery, BMW of Manhattan diagnosed it as having issues in the right cylinder (piston stuck in bore, exhaust valves bent, right rod most likely broken off at wrist pin boss). Motor does turn over, but with obvious struggle. Prior to this, all service was up to date and full records available since '09. Otherwise, this bike has a comfy Sargent seat, carbon-fiber accents, cleared lenses, and is the rare Mandarin Orange color. 1995 BMW 1100GS, Black - 77K miles - Clean MA title in my name (no bank liens, etc) - NO ABS, heated grips and seat, Acerbis hand guards, RID computer, Ohlins shocks - just rebuilt, BMW crash bars, HID lights, PIAA fog/driving lights, stainless Spiegler brake lines, etc. see maintenance history below for more upgrades. - $6,000 spent over 3 years on upgrades and maintenance. That number does not include my time - just parts and supplies. Top case not included. I have a very similar 52L Givi top case if interested. Are you looking for one of the best GS models ever made, but are worried about getting a bike with an unknown service history and none of the typical 1100 problems addressed? Well, don't worry about that, because I've spent the last three years doing it for you. I've got the extremely anal and detailed service history during my ownership available (see below) to ensure that this bike will be going strong through 150K and beyond. I use this GS daily as a commuter and touring bike and it has never once left me stranded, anywhere. I was attracted to this particular bike because it was used, maintained well, and loved. It was not just a hangar queen with low miles. It has some scratches and marks here and there - what you'd expect for a GS! Mechanically, it's in excellent condition and probably better than most any 1100GS out there for sale now. I could strip the bike of the upgrades and sell it for less, but I can't bring myself to do that after all the time and effort I put into this bike. I hope that someone will continue to take care of it after me. Here's some of the things you'll see in the service history that have the most immediate impact and make the bike feel new again: - New throttle and clutch cables - no sticking, smooth response throughout - Transmission rebuilt completely by one of the best mechanics for this type - Anton Largiarder in West Virginia. In addition, switchable PIAA fogs provide extra lighting at all times to supplement the front headlight. - Michelin Anakee 3 tires in great shape - the rear is almost new. Front <3k miles. - Brand new starter and battery installed a few weeks ago. Plenty of cranking power and quicker starts. - Seat is HEATED and has 1/2" more padding than original, - it's more comfortable. - Two horns (one electric FIAM, and one Stebel compressor-driven air horn) will wake up the most cell-focused drivers. - Swingarm bearings are new - you don't realize the importance of these until you drive old ones, then new ones. - TBs cleaned and balanced - the response is crisp, quick, and smooth. - Ohlins shocks, freshly rebuilt front and rear are available for an extra $1000. These do not come with the bike. The stock shocks will come with the bike. - BMW crash bars that were NOS before I installed them. You can't get these any more from BMW. - AX-FIED fuel controller for surge free riding. 2000 BMW R 1100 S, Beautiful and well maintained 2000 BMW R1100S for Sale. I am the second owner of this bike and have personally put over 36K miles on it. Bought in Oregon in 2001, Ive really enjoyed riding this bike. Whether chasing a GSX-R, Yamaha R1 or putting in an 8 hour touring day, this bike does it all. I recently had the bike serviced at Budds BMW of Oakville, Ontario, Canada in the amount of $2000. 35K checkup, front fork seal repair, new battery and rear tire. About 5 years ago I had the clutch rebuilt and the ABS is in working order. The bike comes with BMW bag mounts and factory bags. The VIN number for this bike is actually OR71541. The frame was broken by the first owner at around 1700 miles. A new factory frame was installed and that is why it has a funny VIN. The paperwork is legitimate and you should have no problems.
