In Barn-Find original condition! 1967 Gilera B300 Twin Engine #: 31*6061 Frame #: 31*6061 As 1952 rolled into 1953, Italy was the land of mainly single-cylinder motorcycles. A few four-cylinder machines were about, but strictly for the racetrack. Dozens of companies made scooters and little motorbikes, like the Ducati 65 and MV Agusta 98, and there were even a couple of big 500 singles, notably the Moto Guzzi Falcone and Gilera Saturno. Several small twins were on the market, such as the Rumi two-stroke Sport 125 and the Drusiani four-stroke Comet 175, but in the main, singles were in favor. They were cheaper to make and sell, for starters; Italians needed basic transportation in the 1950s, not performance. Also, the government granted a large tax break to purchasers of small-displacement (175cc and under) machines, so there was little impetus to build larger ones. However, this grated on all those Italian engineers whose motorcycles were winning races all over Europe. In 1952 Italian machines had won the 125, 250 and 500 world road-racing championships, Gilera taking the 500cc title with its DOHC in-line four. With a 500cc championship on display, Gilera decided to build a sportier utility bike. In the fall of ’52 Gilera presented its prototype of the B300, a cheerfully competent parallel twin—B for bi-cilindro, or two cylinders. Since the parallel cylinders were inclined forward 10 degrees, it could not be accused of copying the British vertical twins. The B300 used a unit-construction engine, enclosing the four-speed transmission, a much more modern notion than having a remote gearbox. A duplex primary chain ran the power from the crankshaft to the multiplate clutch, which was bathed in oil. Bore and stroke for each cylinder was 60 x 54mm, for a total of 305.3cc. A single camshaft at the front of the engine operated the four valves, with the tried-and-true nut and screw adjusters for setting tappet clearances. The pistons rose and fell side by side in the traditional 360-degree firing fashion of parallel twins. A single 20mm Dell’Orto carburetor took the gas from the four-gallon tank, mixed it with the appropriate amount of air and fed the fuel into the cylinders, where it was compressed at a rate of 6 to 1—Italian gasoline in those post-war years was of the low-octane variety. The spent fumes passed through a pair of shiny header pipes to the rather elegant chromed mufflers. The result of all this was a claimed horsepower of 12.5 at 5,800 rpm. This was a workaday engine, intended for reliability rather than performance, and was mated to a modern chassis using what the Italians called a duplex “open” frame. Two steel tubes came down from the steering head to the front of the engine, with the two mid-frame tubes securing the rear. As we say today, the motor was a stressed member. The rear suspension used a swingarm with Sturcher shock absorbers; the front was a Gilera-made telescoping fork. Wheels were both 18-inchers, with a 3.00 tire on the front, 3.25 at the back, both having 6-inch single-leading-shoe full-drum brakes. Dry weight was a modest 303 pounds. The kickstarter was on the right side, as was the gear-shift lever. The middling-twin prototype was received so enthusiastically that Gilera apparently accelerated the production schedule—the first ones to be sold being listed as 1954 models. Styling was very Italian, with a smoothly sculpted gas tank; a sprung solo saddle added to rider comfort, and an optional passenger pad could be affixed to the luggage rack on the rear fender. However, in the spirit of togetherness a dual seat was soon available. Minor changes were made in the B300 for the 1964 model year. Nothing radical, just a little more compression, a bumpier camshaft and now 15.5 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. The B300 remained in production until 1969. The bike offered here is a good, solid numbers-matching example of this rare piece of Italian style. The odometer reads 13,373 kms or 8,291 miles and I have little doubt from the overall condition of the bike that it is the original mileage. I have not attempted to start it, though it has good compression. The gearbox shifts through the gears, brakes seem to work, rear suspension feels good, but the front will need a rebuild. The paint on the tank looks original, as does the finish on the frame and fenders. Wheels and all cycle parts seem to be original. I don't think this bike has ever been apart. The rear indicators accompany the bike. Generally, it is in good, original condition, but it will need a fair amount of re-commissioning to be a reliable rider. Sold on a Bill of Sale.

This is a fully restored beautiful bike. Always garaged and runs great. 1953 Adler M250 Restored by a former Adler employee. Everything done, paint, engine, from top to bottom, nuts and bolts. Exactly like I bought it. It is an incredible piece of art, and it really wows people. Im sure you know them, but you can see people riding them on you-tube. Unlike other bikes of that era, it seems these are pretty quick and free-revving. Nothing to disclose except the front fender had a slight lean to one side when you look at the front. I tried to adjust it, but in doing so a small fleck of paint came off the lower mount brace. I have touch up paint. Then I was up at Pebble Beach for the Concours D Elegance and a bike just like mine was on the lawn, no doubt restored by the same person. And the front fender has the same little tilt. It has an Alabama registration, which I only have a copy of. I'm tracking down the rest of my paperwork. Serial number 202875 1953 Adler M250. One of the most stylish motorcycles to come out of Germany in the 1950's. Robust 250cc , 2 Cylinder, two stroke. This Adler was accurately restored by a former employee of Adler Werks Germany. In 2012 this Adler was judged 98 points at the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance and it was the only motorcycle to complete the 2012 Pebble Beach Tour de Elegance. Pebble Beach ribbon included with sale. This is a collectable motorcycle, with certified history that is as fun to ride as it is to look at. $12,000.00 909-931-9686 This motorcycle has been fully restored and is in beautiful show room condition.

Original Moto Guzzi Factory Info: The Stornello is a motorcycle built by Moto Guzzi between 1960 and 1974 . He was born in a period - the end of the fifties - the crisis of the motorcycle market due to the growing popularity of utility cars, which he saw as the only vital sectors mopeds and 125 cc. In the latter area, the Guzzi was present with the Bunting 110 , introduced in 1959 as an evolution of the original model dating back to 1953 . For better control over the end of the eighth-liter, in which the stronger was the presence of Gilera , Moto Morini and MV Agusta , it was decided to set up a new medium with 4-stroke engine , as the rivals (the bunting was a 2-stroke ) . The Stornello , as will be baptized, was ready in 1960 was driven by a single-cylinder pushrod , two -valve parallel transmission 4-speed with foot pedal; with 7 hp at 7200 rev/min was pushing the bike to 100 km/h. The Stornello Regularity get several laurels, both domestic and international, until 1964 , when the Guzzi retired from racing. In 1965 will be put on the market a replica of the official model, remained in the catalog until 1967 . In 1967 the range was Stornello completely revised, with the entry into production of the versions Sport America (tourist), Italian Sport (sports) and Scrambler , the latter intended for off-road challenge. The following year he was joined by a new version, the 160 , led by a 153.2 cc engine thanks to the increase of the ' bore from 52 to 58 mm (the ride remained at 58 mm). The engine produced 12.6 bhp at 7500 rev/min and pushing the "Stornello 160" to 118 km/h. At the Milan Show of 1969 was presented with a new edition of Stornello, totally redesigned and aesthetics with engine with 5-speed gearbox. This new model went into production in 1971 , both in road version (125 and 160) and scrambler (only 125), remaining in production until 1974 and in the catalog until the following year, when it was replaced by a new model with two motor times of origin Benelli . 1940 Harley Davidson UA 74ci. Military One of only 300 74ci. Harley Davidson UA model produced for the US Marine Corps. This period correct and authentically restored motorcycle is perfect in every way. Every attention to detail has been taken to restore this very rare "pre Jeep" motorcycle back to the way it rolled off of the Harley Davidson assembly line back in 1940. Unlike the ten's of thousand's Harley WLA's produced for WWII, these 74ci motorcycles were only produced from 1939 to 1941 and very few survivors are known to exist. This motorcycle is another fine example coming from the David Sarafan stables and all attention to detail has been researched and applied to this ultra rare pre WWII military vehicle. An excellent machine for any military or motorcycle museum. Also a great runner for any military or 4th of July parade. The name comes from the Osborn Engineering Company of Portsmouth where Frederick Osborn built motorcycles before the First World War. His son resumed production in 1920 and with Fred Wood introduced duplex steering to racing motorcycles for the TT race in 1927. The firm kept going until 1954, latterly mainly producing speedway motorcycles. The Osborn Engineering Company was very active in designing and building special frames for racing and record breaking machines. A famous design was also the duplex-steering spring-chassis, an invention of John Osborn. It was introduced as a new standard in two wheel stability in 1927. The duplex forks gave both a unique but superior steering capability and road holding quality. The World Speed Record was taken briefly by a duplex-steering OEC fitted with a supercharged 1000 cc JAP V-twin. Top speed was 137.32 miles per hour! This bike is in excellent overall condition. It can be seen started and running on YouTube: www.sinlesscycles dot com

I had Peter Askey of Uncommon Motorcycles in Erie, PA build me this bike. A stock S4 put out approximately 99 horses at the shaft and I wanted more. Peter had a Ducati tech from Italy install an SPS race kit in the bike which includes a special ECU, SPS cams, valves and twin Termignoni pipes. The result is approximately 123 rear wheel horsepower. I’ll look for Peter’s dyno sheet if you need it. Our technician Phillip has recently changed the oil, flushed the fuel tank and lines, cleaned the throttle bodies, serviced the air filter, replaced spark plugs and lubricated the chain. The front and rear Marchesini wheel’s are in near perfect shape, balanced properly and wrapped with Pirelli’s. The tires have great tread left, ready for several more optimum performance seasons. The front Brembo dual disk brakes are in phenomenal shape as well as the rear single caliper. Both front and rear have plenty of pad life left, and the steel braided lines give the brakes that solid stopping power you expect from a Monster. The front and rear suspension is fabulous. The front forks have excellent dust seals, and bushings and they don’t leak fork oil or bottom out under strenuous behavior. The rear shock has never had a problem and it provides a comfortable feel when maneuvering in any condition. The handlebars and instruments are all in splendid condition. With a hydraulic clutch and nylon covered steel braided line the disengagement of this dry clutch is a cakewalk. Both bar-end mirrors are in well condition with no cracks and are substantially adjustable. The magneti-marelli 160 mph speedometer MPH speedometer and 11,000 RPM tachometer both work properly. Needless to say, the high beam passing function works efficiently as well as the turn signals, the throttle body enrichener, the ignition switch, the engine shut off switch and even the start switch. The fuel tank is in great condition, has recently been cleaned and it has no rust or ethanol fuel deposits. The seat has a cover over the passenger seat that is easily removable if necessary. This bike is equipped with passenger foot rests as well. The seat is in premium condition with no rips, tears, or sun damage. We installed several pieces of Ducati Corsa bodywork from the catalog such as front fender, tank and rear fender. A Givi fairing was added for protection/comfort and painted to match the Corsa bodywork. We also installed from the Ducati catalog several “Fogarty” Monster carbon fiber bits: clutch cover, lower fairing, chain guard, radiator shroud’s, side covers and more. We added Cycle Cat bar risers too for your wrists. She’s cute, fast, dependable, unique, and comfortable. She has that earsplitting sound only a Ducati can pull off with Termigoni’s. This bike has been lovingly cared for in a climate controlled shop and attended to by a full time technician. Her battery’s been tended. She’s been fed non-ethanol Stabilized fuel. We have recently added Marvel Mystery Oil to our ladies food supply. Nothing’s too good for our girls. You can fly in to meet us at AEX and drive this bike home anywhere.
